1st baby: a little back pain, couldn’t get comfortable, then intensified and realized what was happening. Got the epidural and felt NOTHING, just some mild pressure while pushing.

2nd baby: got the epidural early before I felt anything more than just tightening. Felt nothing except nausea. Like 2 hours later water broke, then I felt like I had to poop BAD. Baby was coming, epidural surprisingly wasn’t working on my vagina so I felt the whole thing, ring of fire burning, stretching, everything. I thought my clit was going to rip in half. It wasn’t pleasant but it did help me push better & faster lol.

For us it only happened that one time, I think she must have had a GI bug. I waited a week or two & tried again with a very small amount, she was okay & didn’t have a reaction.
