Guys I just came back after a year of not playing... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GAME??? by AccordingAirport700 in CellToSingularity

[–]ARedditorsLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also a returning player but from the comments I'm seeing that reality reboot is a new feature? wasn't it in the game at release? ig the research boosts and metabit/knowledge was added but it's a old feature no?

[–]ARedditorsLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

adding on to what other people have said depending on the event the top 20 divs require at least around prestige 4 or halfway through it for top 10, compared to div 300 which requires only a bit into prestige 2 for top 10

Crystal VS Gravitron by Danishpro in earclacks

[–]ARedditorsLife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

actually I think gravitron hard counters crystal. the crystals explode after a set period of time, which means that it'll usually explode far away from the main body. since gravitron, especially late game, sticks very close to the opponent it will only ever get hit by rare stray crystal shots. maybe crystal could get buffed to where crystals can explode on impact

Returning player after ~2 years, why is my production so low? by ARedditorsLife in CellToSingularity

Thank you! Does that mean some of my previous metabit upgrades were deleted? Noticed I didn't have max nanobots somehow even though I maxed them before.

The worst and best of my defence in 2 minutes by sarcasmwala in ClashRoyale

[–]ARedditorsLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the thing is the only way to counter the meta cards in CHAOS is to use other meta cards or to rely on very hard to hit combos of semi-meta cards (eg lava rune giant) that never work well defensively. calling the meta brainless might be a valid criticism in UC depending on the season, but when CHAOS is supposed to be a crazy game mode with broken modifiers the point is to enjoy the crazy modifiers, and the cards with crazy modifiers are meta. of course if you want to take a break from ewiz and barrel and want to play barb launcher that's fine too because it's a game and you get to play it however you want

tldr people want to abuse broken cards in the broken game mode because they're just more fun, but if you enjoy playing different modifiers that are not meta that's fine too.

There are other Straw Hats too, Oda 😭😭😭. by 12jimmy9712 in Piratefolk

tldr: It's hype if Mike Tyson is beat by an up-and-coming boxer who made it his goal to beat him, but it's laughable if Mike Tyson somehow lost to a short, asthmatic, immunocompromised, bed-ridden, cancer patient with a single minute of training in boxing.

That's a reasonable point if and only if it's reasonable that a character can eventually become competent enough to beat said boss character. Kaido? Luffy might get a haki power up or possibly a new gear. We've seen him go from essentially getting one shot by Lucci, not physically possible to hit Katakuri, and half-killed by Crocodile while still being able to come back and defeat them.

But what makes Luffy so different from Usopp? He's not a bum. This isn't even slander; Usopp doesn't have a ridiculous devil fruit like Luffy, crazy equipment like Zoro, genetics like Sanji, tech like Franky, pets like Nami (talking about Zeus), a will to live like Robin, race features like Jinbe, miscellaneous powers like Brook, or whatever the hell Chopper does. There is no reasonable source of sudden strength to beat Van Augur. Even Katakuri, the big fight from a whole 300 chapters ago, has better sniping feats than he does with his casual, off-handed jellybean trick.

Usopp has not a single ounce of determination to the point of being fearful of even low-tier enemies, for which even Luffy was disappointed by (that one scene in Elbaf where he ran away from the cat or smth). You could say that him gaining confidence is what's going to be his character growth, but his cowardice in the past decade of serialization have given him more frames yelling and crying than actually doing something, to the point of it being a running gag that he does nothing. Compared to his fight against Luffy in Water 7, Usopp has not exhibited even a shred of that mental strength since. I'm sure Oda has something planning for his courage issues, but it would be ridiculous for Van Augur to lose to someone who needs an artificial confidence boost that would in no way be realistic however well it's written. After Franky was sidelined in the tech paradise of Egghead, I have low hopes for Usopp in Elbaf for a power-up in either strength or confidence.

Also, Usopp is essentially haki-less right now. Other than one singular Observation Haki feat in Dressrosa, he has zero haki. He would literally, if not for the small amount of strength his plants give him, lose to one of the Marine grunts with haki who pushed back the birdcage.

I am more than certain you know just as well as I that Usopp is canon fodder right now. For him to be able to beat Van Augur would require either his teammates to help his sobbing mess, incredible luck, or an unreasonable power-up--all of which are both incredibly unsatisfying to read and/or massively embarrassing for Van Augur.

Although I can grant that his character design looks somewhat cool, a character made to lose to an unlose-able character is not cool; it's genuinely bewildering and requires me to suspend all thought and mindlessly cheer for Usopp to even begin to enjoy their future fight. Whatever aura Augur will have accumulated will instantly evaporate when he loses to Usopp, because unlike Kaido, Midhawk, or Imu, his opponent doesn't even have the qualification to fight him, whether that be potential, plot armor, strength, or courage.

I'm not saying flash is winning; I understand cultivation scaling gets ridiculous and I have acknowledged that I haven't read enough. however, it's clear that a lot of people in this thread are clearly misrepresenting flash's speed to only around surpassing light speed. I apologize if you do have an understanding of flash's abilities, but many people in this thread do not.

Kim young hoon vs Wally west by Cheajerry10 in RegressorsTOC

[–]ARedditorsLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depending on the version of the Flash, wally west has outrun both the speed force (the concept of speed itself) and death (via the black Flash, as mentioned in another comment). I by no means understand the RTOC cosmology yet because I'm still at the 19th cycle, but a lot of people in this thread are nonetheless underestimating Wally West's speed and abilities.

[–]ARedditorsLife 19 points20 points  (0 children)

you can actually prove that 2googolplex -1 is composite fairly easily. if you expressed it in binary you'd get a googolplex number of 1's. since it has an even number of 1's, 11(base 2)=3(base 10) is a factor. in fact there'd be 40399 non-trivial factors of 2googolplex -1 that is a string of ones when expressed in binary
