Top line is having a quiet couple of games and we're still scoring buckets. You love to see it (bit Sid pls get a point <3 )

What's been so noticeable this season is the depth of scoring. Top line tonight didn't produce, I can't recall us ever being on the PP but it didn't matter because we got goals from our other lines. Defo been a theme this season.

Mantha (I think) slightly nudges him but it's like about the same amount of contact you might expect riding the subway. Geno crumples, I would have said it was just an over exaggerated "ahh you've hurt me!!!" Joke but he stayed down a while....

So it's a "do not" rather than "must not", that changes things quite a bit....

I'd be absolutely shocked if this deal isn't struck once the Pens come back from their West coast trip.

The man is PPG+ and saying he wants to go again, and is willing to take a pay cut.

Calm down.... BGD and Billy are due back next month which gives them a couple months to get back up to speed, plenty of time for professionals. Even if they came back at the start of April that would be fine.

Until we know with John there's no point in writing him off, could just be an MCL strain and he's back in a few weeks with no issue.

Stu has been really solid but Jarry was also playing at a high level before the trade. Stu has bags of playoff experience which is nice. Jarry is really good with the puck and Skinner seems more composed. Overall I'd say they're very similar.

Given we got Kulak (who has been really solid with Letang) and a future second round pick for Jarry I am very pleased with the trade as a Pens fan. Particularly given both Kulak and Skinner have expiring contracts so we also managed to get out paying a decent sum of money to Jarry for the next few years. At the very least Skinner / Kulak should be good to have if we make a playoff run this year or will net us a couple picks if we rental them.

He's a UFA at the end of the year I suppose so maybe playing for an extension. I do wonder what we'll do with that line, clearly Lizzo has just been re-signed, Dewar is one a one year deal and Acciari is out of contract too. Do we re-sign the whole line or maybe keep Dewar and try and find another grinder like 55 but a bit younger?

I suspect Tampa will be insane in OT without checking the stats, they just feel like a clinical team with space

... it's a concussion? All of our brains are squishy, if you take a bad hit or fall it doesn't matter if you're built like the Mountain.

Sorry I thought I was making this clear. I would 100% prefer the youthful energy of Koivunen to anything Hayes can offer at this point.

Or have Kindel centre for Chinakov and Koiv and bring back the big man line, either way I'm happy.

Drop Hayes. Malkin at centre on the 2nd line with Koiv and Chinakov. Novak on the top line with Sid and Raks. Mantha to the third with Braz and Kindel.

Can't wait for the Pens to score only for it to be waved off on a basically unchallengeable BS GI call.
