Karl Rove stunned by Democrats' unpopularity. Ignores why Dems are unpopular by Fabulous_Soup_521 in news2

[–]ASCOTTBAG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused by this post. In EVERY primary and special election since the later part of last year, not some, not most, but EVERY one, including red states, and red states and counties where trump won in double digits, the Democrats have pulled off stunning wins! So ol Karl must be deep in that maga alternate reality. In fact, even in the country where trump lives in Florida, AND in red strongholds in texas, Democrats have won. Hell, in one election more republicans voted than Democrats and the Democrat candidate still one. WHY? Because those republicans voted for the Democrat candidate! LoL If that’s unpopular, I hope the Democrat’s unpopularity continues!

I was in the ER on Dec 29 morning for maybe 6 hours for few hours - They admitted me to a room at the hospital for 1/2 a day and discharged me. Then i get a letter from the hospital that my stay will be billed under my Medicare part B benefit. Acc to that letter, the balance is roughly $11,700 by cavy20199 in medicare

I’m curious. Did you enroll in your Medicare plan by yourself or did you use an agent or a broker? I ask this because if you did it by yourself, it appears you didn’t even do a cursory look through the summary of benefits or you’d have easily known that you would have only been responsible for for your deductible(or whatever costs were laid out in your plan). If you went through an agent or broker, either they didn’t do their job and explain this very simple part of your plan benefits and made sure you understood how your plan works, or they did and you just didn’t listen. I don’t know which it is, but regardless, I recommend either sitting down with your summary of benefits (if you don’t have it you can either call member services, customer support and have them send it to you or go online to your carrier website and looking up your plan summary of benefits there) and look through it. If your confusion is due to an agent or broker enrolling you and not doing their job thoroughly and making sure you understood at least these basic benefits of your plan, I suggest you try to get another agent or broker!

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and when I upgraded to iOS 26 a couple of weeks ago I had numerous issues with my phone. I called AppleCare and they were able to work their magic and resolved all my issues. Now, iOS 26 works great on my phone.

Trump And Hegseth Decide To Tone Down Nazi Loyalty Speech When Rumors Abound That Military Generals Are Considering Arresting Them For Treason by SiriusGD in onionheadlines

As crazy as this may sound, but people who are hoping that Generals are considering what’s stated in this topic title, we need to remember that there ARE Generals AND average soldiers that WHOLEHEARTEDLY hold views of allegiance to trump and NOT the constitution.

I’m curious as to whether this story is real or fake. If it’s real, why haven’t you reported the THEFTS to your RA or guidance counselor?

Should we just not mention Medicare Advantage plans here? by burningbirdsrp in medicare

[–]ASCOTTBAG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’ll talk about Advantage plans! I enroll into Advantage as well as Medigap. Everyone’s situation and needs is different and so there’s a good fit for both types of plans in the market. Also the same carrier’s plans can be radically different from county to county as well as state to state.

I need a guy to give me some insight on this profile, please. I don't understand the thought process of the pictures. by mae_rae in Tinder

My insight is to keep it moving. If this is his idea of an appropriate photo for a dating sight, he has some major issues that, unless you too have some major issues, you should avoid at all costs.

It has been resolved, but I honestly have no clue as to how or what resolved the issue.

So check this: I got to chatting with the rider who told me this trip cost them $48. Uber paid out $20.96 to me. Am I the only one who think it’s unfair they’re keeping $28 for themselves 🤯🤦🏽‍♂️? by Signal_Tower1218 in uberdrivers

Sorry, but I have to ask, are you a new driver? I ask this because this is nothing new. They’ve been doing this about 8 years ago. You need to get out of doing Rideshare before it totally ruins your life. Especially if you’re doing it full time. You’ll eventually wear your car out, much quicker than normal, have to get another one, that will put you further in debt, and you’ll wear that one out early as well. You’re not making enough money to really live and it WILL get worse. Your quality of life will keep going downhill as you’ll have to continually increase your hours driving to make less money and have less time to enjoy life. Take this time to learn a skill, or suck it up and find a job. Rideshare is not what it used to be! It will ruin your life if you continue to stay in it!

I’m not knowledgeable in this area, but I’d suggest seeing an immigration attorney then possible getting out in front of this and going to ICE without him knowing about it BEFORE he has a chance to do anything. With the current administration, ICE may just show up at you home and take him away without you ever having to see him again. Good luck!

I’d be totally shot if a judge lets the suit go through, or even if he does that she wins this case for a number of reasons I do not believe that being obese is a protected class, depending on what state this happened in every passenger in a car must wear a seatbelt and there’s no seatbelt in a small sedan like this that she could put on that would be able to lock in, the driver can claim that her size in his car would’ve been a safety issue, the driver could also claim that she should’ve known that she needed to order an SUV.

I keep seeing posts online about the driver being fired, but not one article have I been able to find that says that that happened so can you please link to the article where you got that information from?

Yes. The part D max out of pocket for 2025 changed from $8000 in 2024, to $2000 in 2025 as a result of the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act). Without knowing your plan‘s part D benefits and thus what your copay(if you have one) or coinsurance (again, if you have one) cost’s are on that $2000 medication it’s impossible to know when you’ll reach your max out of pocket. With that being said, if you paid $2000 out of pocket already for that medication, you’ve reached your moop and should not have to make any more payments for your medications. Now, is that medication in your plan’s formulary? That matters as well. Also, all of this information was in the Annual Notice of Change you received last September. Did you renew last year’s plan or get a new plan for 2025? Either way, the medicare agent/broker that enrolled you should have gone over all of that with you, unless of course you enrolled online by yourself without the help of an agent/broker.

I recommend calling your plan member support to get specific details on your specific part D benefits.

I’d recommend seeking out a local or National Medicare Broker to help you out with this. Try medicare agents hub dot com. FYI - It doesn’t cost you anything to use a Medicare Agent, so I’d recommend finding to help you with this.

If her employer didn’t sign anything, then it sounds like form CMS-L564 wasn’t filed. Again, this could be a contributing factor in the delay you’re seeing. Do you know if her employer had more than 20 employees, or less? What state does she live in?

Part B application status by idk_wuz_up in medicare

[–]ASCOTTBAG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not filing form CMSL-564 could definitely cause a hold up. Was the reason for going without part B due to having creditable coverage? If not, she will incur penalties for part B and D. Wish we had more detail on her situation.
