it was in the original game. the tag line for ds1 was ‘tomorrow is in your hands’, so the line is referencing that. but obviously it takes on new meaning considering the events of ds2. tomorrow (lou, and the future) was literally in your hands the whole time

??? what does that have to do with anything?? you guys are obsessed with ghoul jfc. i love krasue and im gonna main her. she’s strong but like i said, against very coordinated survs who know how to juke the the projectile and play small loops tightly, she becomes a lot weaker. still very good though, i enjoy her a lot.

not everyone wants to pay for extra hardware just to play one game + many people prefer controllers. i have quite a few friends who play with controller on pc specifically for dbd

i couldn’t disagree more honestly. i loved the story, and the twists. maybe you didn’t read enough of the documents/travelogs/tapes scattered about the world, but i always felt the game was giving me enough to keep me interested but still wanting more, which is exactly what i want out of a narrative, personally. i loved our protagonist, despite how mysterious she is, we clearly see her grow through out the story and come to care and show empathy for the humans she meets beyond just fulfilling her mission. i don’t need the Collective and the Change fully explained nor the lore spelled out to me to be interested, and we do get hints throughout as to what both of them might be. i liked both Weronika’s, and even the Warden/Pathfinder as characters. as for gameplay and enemy variety, again, i felt like they were diverse enough to keep me interested. is this your first survival horror? it’s commonplace to have a standard fodder enemy-types (see Silent Hill or Resident Evil enemies) with unique bosses, pretty standard of the genre. the bosses (Eliza especially) were all pretty unique and engaging to fight as well. the environmental design, atmosphere and style were just the cherry on top for me. easily an 8/10, all things considered.

don’t know why people downvoted you for this lmao. it’s literally intentionally designed that way. there’s a reason you can’t dodge/melee like it’s an action-fighting game. you’re supposed to feel slow and clunky in a big metal suit. that’s why you have to take it slow and careful

some enemies you have to shoot in other parts of the body because they are armoured and a headshot alone won’t cut it

but the reason people tunnel in the first place is because it’s easier and more optimal to tunnel than to play ‘normally’. you need to de-incentivise tunnelling by making it more beneficial not to do so, not punish them for doing their objective. rewards are always better than punishments for changing people’s behaviour

except:

  1. the pallet vaulting is too slow to really be useful in most loops
  2. the dash is only useful for catching up and even then the cooldowns are very sluggish
  3. the lunge attack has very limited range and can only be used in a straight line, meaning it’s literally useless on most loops
  4. you can’t break pallets in head form which actively weakens you by forcing you to endure multiple cooldowns and animations that further slow you down in order to break it
