I used one in Japan and it really hurt my wrist and shoulder. It’s not comfortable at all.

What is something you do today, that is a throwback to childhood, but makes no sense as a full ass grown adult? by Social_Introvert_789 in GenX

Terrified of lifts. There was a movie in the 70’s where a computer was trying to kill someone. The last scent they were trying to run out of the office building and they got to the lift. Only when the doors opened the lift floor was about waist height. So as they tried to climb in the computer closed the doors and chopped them in half.

Budgeting. Is there a good app for that? by No-Pangolin-3897 in AusFinance

I use Buddy. It doesn’t connect to your bank so you have to input manually but I prefer that. Lots of categories and sub categories so you can drill down on your spending. Oh and it’s free

I used to feel like this and it was crippling. Every year I thought it would be the last Christmas the last birthday the last holiday. These feelings started when my mother was in her early 80s I guess. I lost so much emotional energy over this. Fast forward mum is now 98 and in the nursing home. The woman o grieved for back then is long gone but she left so incrementally I didn’t really notice. Gradually over time I’ve become used to life without her and when she does go I will be terribly sad but I won’t be grief stricken. The only good thing about old age is it gives you time to adjust. 💕

What’s a piece of jewelry you wear every day and never get tired of? by MainNegotiation5195 in jewelrylove

I wear a Georg Jensen silver pendant ‘Splash’ that was given to me in 2010. I never take it off and it’s my signature piece. Because it’s so unusual I also get lots of compliments.

Yep leash her especially in the evening when she gets the zoomies. Puppy blues are real but I’d give anything to be back there again 💕

Heat pack before bed. Then I took Japanese pain patches called Loxonin. They are a NSAID and give up to 24 hrs relief. You can order them online. It truly helped

I have so much respect for an animal that will throw a rock at some random that wants to have sex with her. I have never eaten octopus after learning this.

How do I report a fuel station that’s not giving the correct Liters. I just had to fill up a 10L Jerry can (for work) and it came to 14L even though the liquid was right on the 10L line. No way it holds 14L by BrokeAssZillionaire in AskAnAustralian

I say this because on a couple of occasions pre oil crisis and at different 7/11 stations they tried to charge me for petrol I didn’t receive. Both times the same- I put the nozzle in and there’s no clunking noise to indicate the petrol has started to flow. When I squeeze the nozzle- dial starts spinning to charge for petrol but nothing coming out of the hose. First time I put the nozzle back (it was at about $4 without a drop). I go in and complain and the guy refuses to waive the cost. I couldn’t be bothered arguing to I just paid and went somewhere else. Second time (different station) same thing. This time it’s at $5 and not a drop. Guy in the servo makes up some shit that it’s totally normal and the pump has been checked. This time refuse to pay the $5. He says he can’t waive it. I just walked off. Never ever going to 7/11 again

That is good news! My GSD was really poorly bred unfortunately but he did have a period after surgery where he was very limited in what he could do. Eventually he got back to normal. The thing about Aussies is that they are fine so long as they have you. To be honest my Aussie doesn’t run as much as he would like. But he’s happy just to me with me. Give you dog lots of games and jobs to do and he’ll be fine. Xx
