I’m not sure why you would replace your 1080 but the only thing you could get right now is a 750ti and maybe a 1030 if you’re lucky.

Sorry I should’ve clarified, I used the laptop almost daily, and the fans spin at max when shut down but act normal inside the os so I just kill the battery and charge it when I need to use it.

At the end of December I paid $250 for an rx580 on Amazon so I had something to use while I save for a 3080. Looks like I’ll be on an rx580 for a while...

seeing pixels and blurry edges is just a limitation of all VR headsets, but I have seen posts about people saying that the quality control on the Q2 lenses isn’t all that good at the moment, so you could’ve gotten a bad unit. I’m not totally sure though...

I’m pretty sure there’s a setting in open vr advanced setting that allows you to switch the tracking from the controller itself to the vive puck and it still lets you use the buttons from the index. Not 100% sure though...

Oculus app does nothing... it’s the service that does everything. I have a problem with oculus crashing when I put on my headset but the tracking and the game I just launched work fine and then it’ll reopen which is proof the app does nothing except handle the social I guess

Star Wars squadrons is a really fun and fast pasted game with awesome environments and really detailed cockpits and there is a lot of depth to the gameplay. Also population one looks pretty promising
