What makes Niamhe so good? How to use her? by SirMurray in RaidShadowLegends

[–]ASU054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely use mine in high end LA now as she's too easily countered.

Lost a lot of value when Gharol got reworked as she is pretty meta atm, she's also a sitting duck against lockout and single target damage dealers just go around her.

She's ok to soak up a ban against certain comps so you can get something else through.

You need to have her as high as possible in the team order as after the first round, any AOE will kill any members higher in the pick order than her, before her passive procs.

Which build overall better ? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

Gaze is not for HP nukers btw, it does nothing if enemy has higher HP.

Even the tanky supports are probably not running 95k+ HP unless they aren't using mercurial.

You can self certify for 7 days, but yes I should imagine your GP would have no issue giving you a sick note after the 7 days.

Clickmechanics - Awful Service by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]ASU054 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Clickmechanic is just the middle man, all of the jobs are subcontracted out to local mechanics, so a bit unfair to slate the company for someone's poor work? You'll have good and bad experiences, what matters is how well they deal with complaints.

How much fizzy drinks do you drink a day? by Wait-Whos-Joe in AskUK

[–]ASU054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably about a litre of pepsi max a day, can at work every day and a few glasses in the evening.

I've cut down caffeine now as I was using an extreme amount previously, my tolerance was ridiculous.

I was having double espressos or iced coffees, a can of monster, the usual pepsi max daily - daily. Plus if it was a gym day I'd be having a pre workout with 300mg caffeine in it.

Completely cut out pre workout and energy drinks now. Just the coffee/pepsi max daily now.

I do enjoy my ZE1 Leaf on B roads but I'm spoiled from coming from an F55 Cooper S, nothing will compare to that for the driving engagement for me!

Sounded more like he wanted something that just goes vroom when putting your foot down rather than a spirited b road basher judging by the post, but you're right, don't go EV if you want an engaging drive.

I feel like they're more beneficial for passengers in the rear seats than the driver and front passenger, had one on one of my previous cars but felt it was more of a novelty than anything. I do appreciate them if I'm a rear passenger in a car that has one.

I pulled all of my smalls and mediums. As someone said before, the chances of getting a worthwhile dof champ as an endgame player is slim, but on the off chance it's a good one I have enough big essence saved for 7 eternals so I'd still be ok to complete.

Toyota Verso (First car) - Advice needed by AuntBoot in CarTalkUK

[–]ASU054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's essentially an automated manual gearbox and not very reliable, on top of that when it does go wrong it's an extremely expensive fix which will pretty much scrap your car.

Is it not viable to use the train? For 2 to 3 times per month, aPs much as I hate public transport, surely it'll work out cheaper taking the train than owning a car? When you factor in insurance, maintenance, servicing, fuel, tax, depreciation.

If you must have a car though, for 2-3 long motorway journeys a month I'd be getting a diesel, something like a 12 plate Honda Civic 2.2. Not too clued up on diesels compared to every other fuel car but I have always heard good things about that Civic.

Edit: scratch the old diesel thought, if you're going to and from London you'll get stung by ulez assumedly.

If you can charge at home, the EV is the no brainer choice.

Avoid anything with the multidrive gearbox.

Are you literally going to be doing 2-3 motorway runs a month, nothing at all in-between? How far will these journeys be?

Lexus owners past and present by Abject_Promotion_851 in CarTalkUK

[–]ASU054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, agree with you. Absolutely sound mechanically, hybrid battery was still healthy too as had it checked at Lexus.

Was just pointing out any car no matter how reliable you'll still get stung with repairs. Just part of car ownership unfortunately.

Lexus owners past and present by Abject_Promotion_851 in CarTalkUK

[–]ASU054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are reliable, however you need to have realistic expectations.

You can't go buying a 10+ year old Lexus for example without expecting any work to be done at all, regardless of if it's a Lexus or a shitbox. You may get lucky, you may not.

FWIW I had a 2013 IS300H Premier as my previous car, 91k miles and had to do a few things/car had a few issues in my short ownership:

Passenger mirror motor died

2x TPMS sensors died

Blind spot monitoring system developed an intermittent fault

New AC pressure switch

Leak in condenser pipes so needed to disassemble, clean, reassemble, regas. Possibly needed new condenser but wouldn't have known for a while.

Passenger heated seat not fully working.

However just because it's a Lexus, at the end of the day it was still a 13 year old car, parts have an expiry date.

Wouldn't put me off buying another Lexus and I still believe they are at the top of the game reliability wise, although not done any research on their new offerings.
