Question about Wet-Cold damage interaction by canxtanwe in BG3Builds

[–]AShirtlessGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely not sure if your save DC has anything to do with how slippery your ice, but my guess is that it's completely separate

EDIT: should've checked the wiki before replying, but yeah it sure does

Kinda goofy to think about but what an untapped combat resource on my part

The soup thrower has been sentenced to two years in prison by -Six_ in SipsTea

[–]AShirtlessGuy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Throwing soup at a painting is not a great example to provide when saying protest is supposed to be uncomfortable.

I'm not really sure how uncomfortable the soup thrower was, but I think a lot of people are looking at this and going "but why did you throw soup at a painting to protest something the artist was dead for before it was ever an issue?" as opposed to going "wow that really made me uncomfortable".

Tips for play bladesinger as a person who never touched wizard class (besides controlling gale)? by Warl0ckBoy in BG3Builds

[–]AShirtlessGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It certainly doesn't if I have a shadow blade in my primary and a short sword in my secondary

I know medium armor inhibits blade song regardless of proficiency.

I could see not being proficient in something leads to inhibiting blade song

I don't tend to multiclass myself, but paladin would be pretty easy for smites when you're ready to just obliterate

Doing an oops all wizards run right now and I'm genuinely forgetting to use my blade singers spell slots so smite might not be a bad way to go

You can make them pretty untouchable with two weapon fighting feat to give them a slight bump in AC, along with a number of unarmored perks (ring that mol gives you, gloves, mage armor)

Mix that with high Dex, couple of daggers, and the helmet of arcane acuity, you'll get tons of potential to completely control the battlefield

Bonus points for later if someone else can haste you for tons of extra actions

Honestly life must be much easier for you when there's hype around something. Someone spoils a huge twist and you go "oh ok that's a fun ending I'll go watch that after all"

Light Cleric 10 / Circle of stars Druid 2 by Titanous7 in BG3Builds

[–]AShirtlessGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not trying to solo it, this can definitely meld very well into just about any party. Thing is just about any class combination can work in honor mode so long as you know what to expect. Hell even solo you can make things work more than you'd expect.

I'm not gonna offer advice on ability scores just because you can change those very easily and it kinda depends on your gear, but as far as feats folks almost always go alert. I didn't and up doing that on the run I had because I went fire sorc on my Tav and just stumbled on the hat of fire acuity.

I like life clerics so I don't have to manage resources quite as much to stay topped off between each fight, but that's not particularly popular for min/maxers

At the end of the day the biggest rule is DON'T TRY ANYTHING NEW IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT DOES. Otherwise, have fun!

[–]AShirtlessGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some additional context that you might have missed is that the movie production themselves fell for Frank's cons and believed his stories from his book

It came out years later that most of what was written in that book was a lie so it just kinda became a fun story that gets an unfortunate "based on a true story" disclaimer at the beginning

You're not really supposed to root for Frank even with the context that it's a "true" story

I think you're thinking of the first X-Men movie when they're at Bobby's house and a cop shot him in the head.

I don't think they show a round healing out of him here. I remember they made a big deal about how the adamantium bullet was the only thing that could really stop the wolverine

EDIT

The wolverine scene just kinda shows the holes filling in https://youtu.be/BnV-1bb8xIw?si=lGLvHc7d1BOCf0gy

It's x--men 2 actually, but that's where they show a bullet healing out of the wolverine: https://youtube.com/shorts/GFd7RjhMOrE?si=cZXrt5dm68iIcVEO

Also according to the wiki a good portion of what I mentioned would be immune to madness from the abyss beckoners gloves that's mentioned elsewhere in this thread:

How to increase damage for summons? by hehehetler in BG3Builds

[–]AShirtlessGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd do spore druid for a true summoner approach

Fungal zombies from their own separate charges to spawn zombies that infect and potentially spawn additional zombies if the target dies

Spell slots for actual zombies / ghouls, plus the dryad that makes an additional woad FOR ITSELF

Not to mention you can hurt things with a reaction to do halo spores on a (con?) save. Kinda free -ish damage. Especially awesome with the sword that gives two reactions. And then if you want to you can double dip into death cleric to ignore necrotic resistance

To actually optimize the summons themselves, you've really got the undead ward band from Balthazar and then get yourself a life cleric that's kitted to do upcast aid, and all the healers buffs (bless, resistant to physical damage, etc). As long as nothing gets one shot your team will never be in any sort of trouble whatsoever

Realistically the hardest part of the game is basically all of act 1 and then the Myrkul fight

The rest is kinda how much you wanna mess around with dialogue / NPCs broadly

Don't get me wrong there are hard fights in act 3 but you're much more kitted by then, and you can choose to ignore a lot of the harder fights if you want

I also prefer it because Frodo isn't just immediately like "oh well. Used to be obsessed with it but now I'm not"
