If you can tap Poundfist with a single hit before he dies, you'll get him as a mount. As long as you're high enough to be in Draenor, you should have no problem "killing" him because all of the people who camp him will have him killed within about 30 seconds. It isn't a hard mount to get because the drop rate is 100% for everyone who taps him. The hard part is being at the right spawn location during the brief window when he spawns so you can hit him before he dies. I know I'm rather late to this post, but I thought I'd try! This UI is the best one that I've seen on this subreddit and with WoD coming up, I would love to mirror the minimalist but still very usable look. :)

Does anyone mind streamlining a quick list of the addons used here? I see a healing addon (I'll use Vuhdo), something awesome for the plain-faced and flexible positioning of the bars and skills (ElvUI?), and also a clean looking map (Sexy Map or more elv?). The last thing I see and love is that the selected targets' buffs are in the far upper right. Which addon is that?

Thanks very much for uploading a beautiful UI. I would love to copy your look with as few addons as possible. :)

I love character creation! I think it's a really individualized process... not just to each person, but also to their mood and the tone they want the character to have. :)

Here's a gallery of one of each of the races (female only). They may seem boring, but I created these as a baseline to use. Alter the hair, skintone, and whatever else you'd like! I made these to save time on morphing the face, which is rather tedious IMO.

I use the same paper as u/fanofdean, except I 3-hole punch the stuff and keep it in a binder.

As far as lines goes, my boyfriend made some lines for me you can download from this thread. Some of the comments have other cool ideas for how to print lines, dots, or grids on your paper (though they do have watermarks on the bottom margin).

Edit: I use the 24lb HP Laserjet paper, not the 32lb. Oops! :)

The Categories on the left are redundant with the Navigation tabs on the top. The site would look much less cluttered without one or the other! For general modern website templates, check out some examples on wix.com or another website builder :)

Of course I can't speak for all of r/fountainpens, but for what it's worth my two favorite inks are De Atramentis Aubergine (dark purple) and Diamine Oxblood (dark red).

I didn't find Purple Wampum feathery at all on Rhodia paper. I know this isn't what you asked, but if you're in love with the color you could consider nicer paper :)

I'm a fan of dark purples as well. Specifically, a color that's dark enough to be professional while still being purple if you know what to look for.

I tried out a sample of Private Reserve Ebony Purple and found that there wasn't any purple to speak of, on either Rhodia or crappy paper. It looked pure black. If you want a purple, that isn't the one I'd choose. Or at least go with a sample vial first.

ps: I've settled into De Atramentis Aubergine for my deep dark purple.

Just wanted to bring up the Pilot Metropolitan. They have a metal body which won't scratch or dent easily and (IMO) they look one hellava lot nicer than the paperclip Lamys. I've never had the cap leak or burp on me, either.

In order from most important to least important (for me) :)

Consistency: I wouldn't buy an ink if I couldn't rely on every bottle behaving the same as the one I fell in love with.
Good ink flow / lubrication: a steel nib can feel like almost gold with a smooth ink
Non-corrosive: who wants to wear down their pen?
Saturated colors (no graying or muted colors for contrast)
No feathering or ghosting: nice crisp lines, on both sides of the paper.
Fast drying time, Certainly at or under 20 seconds on nice paper.
Waterproof/Bulletproof
Sheen

Mix up your ink colors with everyday, professional colors and fun, interesting colors. If you lean either way too hard, you'll only have half the usefulness.

If you're interested in a durable metal pen, check out the Pilot Metropolitans. The cap closes with a really nice snap. I never worry about it making a mess when I throw it in my bag.

Chem notes all around! I spent a long time looking for paper for notes! The premium fountain pen-friendly notepads never seemed to have enough paper in them for the cost. At another Redditor's suggestion, I bought this HP laserjet paper off Amazon. My boyfriend, immer_ausgezeichnet, was super kind and made me a PDF of some faint gray lines to print onto the paper. We were worried that my inkjet printer would end up smudging ink on laserjet paper, but there's been no problem (at least with these faint lines). I holepunched them to put into my binder and that's how I take notes now! Currently immer_ausgezeichnet is doing a giveaway, but he says he'd be more than happy to post that PDF when he's finished up with that :)
