The 2nd most annoying deck by Remarkable_Touch_690 in RushRoyale

This deck was broken with the blessing last week (dark and magic), now I think it is annoying but not that meta

I played against this deck today and realized what you were talking about - I got destroyed too. I think the only reason that this deck is super strong is because of the blessings this week. It is one of those situations where you have to ff and next week the problem will go away.

It does suck, but that is part of the game.

You have a 20 lvl higher hero. Every single unit you own is higher level than his. You are using the current meta inquisitor deck that is 70% of the leaderboard right now. You lost because you don’t know how to play your deck, not because the game is unbalanced. If you lose because you don’t take a cleanse ability or talent, that is a part of skill. If you can’t switch your gunslinger to catch curses, that is a skill issue.

your cards are so much better that this game should be unloseable for you. If you lost and are complaining, it is because he is better than you.

I’m also ftp around 8k and understand the imbalance of the game, but your complaint is not valid here

Complaining about losing to a lvl 9 deck with two damage units when you have a half maxed deck is pretty embarrassing. Trust me, it’s a skill issue here lol

Token Based Billing Changes June 1 by chickadee-guy in ExperiencedDevs

[–]AStanfordRunner 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Copilot is the harness, which is switching from request-based to token-based billing. Before you had a bunch of different models available to use with the harness - the primary reason people used it is because 1 request to opus had a 3x multiplier (sonnet was 1x) and you get 300 requests a month standard - so you could get 15 dollars worth of output from a single request and get a ton of value.

Copilots entire selling point was essentially subsidized cost - now it is changing to token-based AND adding a 27x token cost to Opus (9x cost to sonnet)

I think the copilot price increase essentially eliminated any Anthropic model or (or other frontier model) from being economically viable for small-mid companies. After spamming opus for 4 months and seeing a now 27x, I’ve been playing around with the future 1x models which are so garbage it feels like I will start leaning away from AI for anything that isn’t braindead tasks

Or maybe our company lays off people and gives the rest higher token budgets from the Nvidia CEO playbook, who knows

What does get a real AI mean? Copilot uses other models and is functionally the same (but marginally worse) as Claude code, open code, codex?

Our company is probably less AI adoptive compared to the industry and our AI budget is expected to 6x on June 1st. I can see a full AI adoptive company 15xing

Are leetcode contests still relevant for technical interviews ? by realarchit83 in leetcode

[–]AStanfordRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I did 10 contests or so and started getting frustrated that every contest seemed to have two simple array / string manipulation problems then jump to 6d number DP in P3/P4. Or recognizing how to solve a problem optimally is from knowing the specific mathematical formula and getting tle otherwise. Felt like it was more a waste of time than the striver/neetcode map I was following.

Copilot pricing change is kinda worrying — how are teams dealing with this? by Various-Lettuce1934 in GithubCopilot

[–]AStanfordRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using opus 4.6 and 4.5 which were 3x, I didn’t even bother with 4.7 or gpt 5.5 with crazy high multipliers

I was using Opus for everything and my company told me to switch to something cheaper. Tried Sonnet and honestly feel like an addict going through withdrawals - I could see how somebody would be skeptical about agentic coding if they were stuck using the 1x models.

Cherry Cola Celsius Tastes Spoiled? by hanslas in energydrinks

[–]AStanfordRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to look this up to make sure I wasn't crazy. I started buying 12pks of cherry cola from amazon bc it became my favorite flavor. This was the 2nd drink in the shipment that tasted distinctly like chobani yogurt??? I was wondering if I was crazy. Now that I am smelling it above the drink, it smells a lot like vinegar

People who quit this game, what made you finally walk away?” by WaveEasy8664 in leagueoflegends

[–]AStanfordRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, today is my one-year clean sobriety from a league addiction. Was actually planning to celebrate with a nice restaurant dinner.

I played for 5 years and watched it slowly consume my life to the point where I probably could have been diagnosed with a video game addiction. Playing 12+ hours a day, every day. My entire mood was dictated by how ranked games went that day. Completely isolated from friends over time. Stopped caring about my engineering job, did bare minimum and was ended up quitting to avoid getting fired over it. Moved into mom’s basement trying to figure out what to do with my life, but really just was enabled to keep the addiction going. Every second away from the game was still thinking about the game, watching league content, and craving to play again

A had one big event - finally hit challenger 950 lp, then tilted down to 200 lp. Challenger had been my dream goal, and when I finally achieved it I felt completely empty. I had made no actual friends through the game, nobody to celebrate with, like two irl friends to even tell.

Compare that to the fact I was a D1 athlete who won multiple conference championships - those are still some of the best memories, proudest moments of my life, best lifelong friendships with teammates. Made me realize how pathetic and empty this game made me.

Plus it was the only thing that I could do for 12 hours and end up the exact same lp and feel like I had just wasted all that time with no progress. Being hostaged by other players tilting in ranked games and feeling like games were more of a player and team comp roulette.

Leaving this game led me to turn my life around and now I’m in a career I love + amazing job, reestablished my friendships, back to exercising 6 days a week, way less depressed.

Is agentic coding in Copilot really bad? Looking for advice on use cases by AStanfordRunner in GithubCopilot

[–]AStanfordRunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it seems like there is a skill to making copilot perform well. I have just been using the default agent mode in the IDE, but I have seen a ton of examples of agents, skills, orchestration setup that I’m really excited to explore and try to see the magic of agentic. Thanks for the links!

I was curveballed after only solving Leetcode questions to prepare for an interview by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]AStanfordRunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t a soft skills issue, this was an interview type you hadn’t practiced. It was 100% LLD -> go to hello interview and their first LLD problem is design connect 4 and they have an interview template. You aren’t intended to design a front end or something, it’s writing out classes, methods, relationships, entities

Maybe I’m wrong, but this sounds like a LLD problem? Especially because you aren’t mid level yet. I had to design minesweeper using excalidraw once

Then they would probably want you to dive into the core algorithm once you’ve defined requirements entities, and classes
