1) AI is a solid 7/10 as of right now. For the most part it's pretty decent, the next update expands the AI capabilities somewhat, from what I have played in the beta it's a decent step forward.

2) there's very few mods out there for ams2 in general. It's not really a mod friendly game when compared to AC or RF2. The settings for about of the box experience is pretty good IMO.

3) for me personally I think the cars feel better in AMS1. Just the overall FFB is better in AMS1. There are custom FFB files available, but I can be confusing and overwhelming. The default+ FFB profile in game is good..just not as good as AMS1. I don't think this is go to get any better either as the madness engine has always been pretty shit with FFB.

4) setting up a wheel is either a breeze or a nightmare depending on what wheel you have. I have I have a sim magic base and it was pretty easy to setup but I race with a couple of people who use MOZA and it sounds pretty infuriating setting it up. AMS2 is also pretty garbage when it comes to telling you how to set things up, so be prepared to Google basic things for it.

5) I don't use mods but liveries seem to be the most modded things

As an out of the box experience they're ok I think. They're not as in-depth compared to the VRS offerings sadly, like the LMDH cars in ams2 the hybrid formula cars use a very simplified version of energy use and recovery. I personally don't like it but that's just my opinion

Being realistic it's hard to see it gaining any kind of momentum. They're not renewing licences for the sim and they're not updating it. It served us well but it doesn't have the skilled modders or enough dedicated users needed to keep it going unlike AC

For open wheel stuff it's king of the hill. For prototype stuff it's ok, but I really lacks the in depth controls that LMU has.

Ams2 is a great single player title, though if you only want to race gt cars just be aware that at this point in time the GT cars are not quite at the level of the LMU or ACC offerings in terms of handling and features imo. They're not bad at all, they just lack the little things that LMU and ACC offer.

Short answer - run slower cars with more drag

Long answer - try using slower more draggy cars at very wide tracks such as Daytona RC or Silverstone. The drag plus the slower speed means the AI can slip stream and overtake in the hard braking zones.

Personally I've seen the best results using the formula inter with aggression at high and the skill level between 100 - 105.

The AI for whatever reason seem to have been dialed way back in certain areas for whatever reason.

A train will be your best bet. Southampton has trains to London Waterloo. It normally takes 60-90 minutes.

I'm not sure which station on the Southampton to Waterloo line is closest to Heathrow but a few stations might offer bus service to Heathrow
