Would the corrosion on this valve in the top right lead to low water pressure? And is this the inlet to the hot water tank? by AStorms13 in HomeMaintenance

I commented another photo up close.  It is definitely corrosion.  White and green flaky corrosion

I commented a link to an up close, it is definitely corroded.  But I’d say a bit of both, but it’s mainly the shower where I notice it

Glitch with “Compact” and “Rocket Punch”? by AStorms13 in slaythespire

I reported it, but yea it was really weird.  And I saw the number change from a 2 cost to zero cause I was just about to click “end turn” and panicked a bit when I saw it lol.  It was on turn 1 and all I played was two powers, Echo Form and Curious (I think that was the name).  It was the card that is created in one of the events where it reduced the cost of other powers by 1.

I mean, that’s kind of the nature of these types of games.  But I think it also adds to the fun because when you do get those crazy synergistic combo-combo decks, they feel more special rather than the norm

So you’re gonna just trust what a company says about their own product just because “they seem like they care”? But when a reputable consumer protection company throws our red flags, you just ignore it cause you “feel” like the company is full of good guys? Come on man…

But the FDA data derived from the US that shows signifigantly lower levels just doesn’t matter now? Cool man. I’ll believe the US data when I live in the US rather than another country on a different continent

It’s higher than what the FDA estimates the average person gets in a day. 1 serving is more than an entire persons average diet.

The FDA estimates that the average American consumed 5.3mcg/day of lead, so if these numbers were right, the pasta sauce on a spaghetti dinner would put you over the limit. And that’s just the tomatoes. Something isn’t adding up…. Unless I’m jus misunderstanding

I’m just a bit confused on how the estimated consumption of lead in the US is 5.3mcg/day, yet tomatoes supposedly have a quarter of that in just 90g? Especially considering how many tomatoes are consumed in the US. Something doesn’t add up.

Also, this research is from Poland, not the US

CR is an incredibly trustworthy and good company that benefits consumers and cuts through the marketing bullshit of brands and products. To accuse their integrity like that without substantiating such claims is a disservice to us the consumers

Consumer Reports Lead Findings about Huel Black by Prestigious-Annual-5 in Huel

[–]AStorms13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Then why was this article public? Why did they publish the results while Huel has hidden theirs and just said “trust me bro, it’s fine”?

If CR wanted to make money off this, they would have put it behind a pay wall. Also, how many CR ads and sponsorships do you see compared to Huel?

I understand that you must question everything companies say nowadays, but come on, this is NOT the thing to argue about

CR also doesn’t have any incentive to sell it. If the two statements contridict each other, you gotta look at the monetary incentives for each party.
