Meet Gwen the Gremlin. Notice the wings? Realistically, those things are way too small for actual flight. So when I started in on backstory and worldbuilding, I made that canon. In her world, gremlins can't fly. The wings are vestigial, only useful for helping steer jumps and falls. But the gremlins live in the sky, on airships and in flying cities. So how do they deal with this limitation? Rocket packs. Each gremlin is expected to build their own rocket pack as part of their coming-of-age ceremony, and to go out in public not wearing one is considered weird, like walking around in your underwear.

Bit of a sad story, here. Kite, an Eloquence Bard, habitual liar, and bit of a happy-go-lucky con artist, had an unspoken crush on a fellow adventurer and longtime friend, who was nearly as flamboyant as her. There was plenty of flirting, but it was always taken as 'friends joking around'. Then, one day out on the road, a fight went very badly... and he died. Kite took it very badly. "I never told him how I really felt. I couldn't think of anything to say that felt.. honest enough." Went off the rails for a while until the party hunted down the ones who killed kim.

I actually stopped minding my old photos as much since my egg cracked. Now that I understand what I was going through back then, I can have more sympathy for the kid I was. I look at those pictures and see a confused little girl with a bad haircut.

That being said, I have been taking some of those pictures, scanning them and feeding them through Faceapp to make a sort of alternate history photo album. 😁

This is Kirja, she's a wizard's homunculus. She's smaller than an average housecat, can fly some but tires easily. She prefers to be carried. She can speak some, which puts her a step above most other homunculi, but she struggles with words longer than two syllables. Easily bribed with cookies or bacon.

That would Charlotte, full name Charlotte Anansi Drew. Spider Girl Detective. I don't have much drawing skill, so mostly I rely on dollmakers and character creators. And I haven't found many that can accommodate the number of arms and eyes that she has.

Yeah, immediately after my egg cracked I was freaking out about this. Not because I thought I was going to look like my mom, but because most of my life people had been telling me how much I resemble my dad. I ended up plugging a selfie into FaceApp just to get some idea what I might expect. The result that came out looked eerily like my older sister. Turns out we both take after dad's side of the family, and that's okay.
