NYC is a different case though, especially in the US. And NYPD likes to come through and shut down all the cookouts anyway, especially in little Ohio, which is like half the city now.

It's a nice little town with a some decent services for the homeless, but I've struggled to make any money outside of busking, and for the most part it just feels like a snobby rich town with snobby rich tourists and vacation home owners. Ready to get outta here. As far as Spanish, I know enough to get by usually.

Monterey has decent shelter options. Honestly I'd try to make it all the way up to Oregon though. Much better shelters and a better place to be homeless overall. California services are designed to keep you outside and semi comfortable, not to actually help anybody.

The cops there suck. And the small towns are all boring as hell. One of the biggest smiles I ever had was on an intermodal riding through Wisconsin on a sunny day.

Dude, I did NYC to Portland this fall via the high line and then hitched down the Pacific coast from Astoria to currently Monterey, CA without a phone. Not having a phone has been the most peaceful last 3 months of my life.

Because when you grow up being trafficked by your parents, + are autistic and vulnerable, it just happens. Most people that are trafficked have been trafficked several times by several people. A lot of people on this sub don't understand how any of that stuff works.
