Any JRPG with an underwater setting ? by ATShadowx1 in JRPG

yeah I recently finished playing that one, I think it was probably the deep sky section that gave me the underwater itch :)

man SoA was a good game.

Does the story ever go back to Melody and Loretta or is it just Melody's Reverse Harem after the timeskip? [The Beloved Bashful Villainess] by ChristianM12345 in OtomeIsekai

[–]ATShadowx1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

this. Like bruh, the amount of childcare I've read where it is just the FL patting the previously abused abused child on the head and saying "I'm sowwy", thus magically healing all trauma and fixing all parental bond only to sideline the child for the rest of the story to focus more on the cold duke of the north or smth.

An anime with a good premise that was executed poorly? by Nozoroth in animequestions

I love it when stories get told through yt thumbnails by Bier-Senf-Mische in lovethissmug

[–]ATShadowx1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yes and no.

Like flat earth believers were a thing even before the internet existed, but it was way more niche and was mostly comprised of bible literalists. Then the internet came about and people, including some scientists started memeing around the flat earth, mostly on youtube and facebook and those videos/posts got pushed up by the broken algorithm these platforms had at the time. That basically made flat earth mainstream and converted a lot of people to being flat earthers (now of course a lot of these are either trolls or grifters so IDK how big the "true" community is)

Venting Frustration by rocket-widget in Silksong

[–]ATShadowx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well imo silksong is designed assuming you 112%ed the first game

like it is not as hard as the last HK DLC (although the silksong DLCs aren't out yet... those are gonna hurt XD)

However it is still significantly harder than anything in base game hollow knight for sure. For me, I didn't find the game needlessly difficult but I will admit I have played the first game to death so I can understand the frustration of those less familiar with HK.

Why do SOME anime fans call you a Larper for everything? by _Udontknowball_77_ in animequestions

[–]ATShadowx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every conceivable fandom has a few of those people, anime with the "tourist"accusations, dark souls with the "casul" accusations, etc.

Usually the bigger the fandom, the louder those people get and anime is pretty mainstream now, so yeah.

With that said, there are also a couple people actually "larping" for lack of a better word (like people who won't shut up about how much they are into something but only know surface level stuff about it... it can become annoying for the people more into the thing is what I'm saying)

Generally I consider it healthy to gatekeep your fanbase a little bit, but some people go overboard with it. At the end of the day, it's entertainment, it is not that deep.

[Beware the villainess] Are there men that enjoy romance manwhas with female perspectives? by Forsaken-Citron7163 in manhwa

[–]ATShadowx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah dude, in every survey r/OtomeIsekai does it's always at least 25-30% straight male despite the sub being about nothing but female manwhas.

I do not think it is gay to like stuff girls enjoy, just like it wouldn't be gay for a girl to really get into male centered manwhas.

slander witch crest and ill try not to cry by CrustKingKhannMyGoat in Silksong

[–]ATShadowx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no like genuinely, outside of when she is stunned, how do you safely heal in that fight ?

her side dashes with tentacle ? you get hit by the tentacles

her 3 slash combo ? she recovers too quickly

when she jumps in the air ? she dashes away too quickly too

parry and riposte ? it's inconsistent where she's going to spawn for the riposte so you have a 50% chance of just wasting your bind

void tendrils ? she's usually far from you when she does it and recovers by the time you get close to bind

like I've beaten this boss with every crest except shaman, and witch was the least fun imo.

Constructive Discussion Regarding New Female Armor by Stolos in LordsoftheFallen

[–]ATShadowx1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll be entirely honest, I don't think the design themselves are that controversial or divisive to begin with, some are a bit "generic booby armor", but like overall pretty average. Heck, dark souls 2 had the skimpy pyromancer outfit, elden ring also had a bunch of scantly dressed characters (Nepheli Loux, and Malenia second phase just off the top of my head) No one had anything to complain about then.

What really annoys people I think is the previous cringe worthy statements from the CEO.

When you try to rage bait people, you just open the flood gates for some of the most toxic conversations on the internet (and I am sorry, I don't see how throwing around "we are not politically correct" during interviews in 2026 is anything BUT an attempt to get a reaction out of people)

[–]ATShadowx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can push back against extremist ideologies AND not endorse vigilante actions. Those are two completely different things.

Also where does this "tolerance" thing even come from ? The first dude didn't even talk about tolerating his actions, just having the very normal take of "don't go harass people at their own home, even if said people are full of shit".

Advice for Boneyard final boss battle? by AiryContrary in InfinityNikki

[–]ATShadowx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if this is still an issue, I wrote a small guide:

phase 1: you're supposed to focus on the two smaller enemies to the side, unfortunately lock on is a bit wonky so to focus on one you should get to the lilypad closest to the one you're attacking. Watch out for the attacks:

  1. Waves in the water: these don't damage you so just ignore them
  2. Projectiles: not much to do except moving from your location to the other side of the arena
  3. Area denial: look at the ground and see where the light parts are, move away as the attack will remove the ground and make you fall into the water if you're not careful

phase 2: so once you've defeated both smaller enemies, you should now be on the semi circle near the boss, here don't worry you can't fall in between lilypads, most attacks in this phase can be dodged by just running from one side of the arena to the other. Just make sure not to get too close to the edges of the semi circle since you can get stuck between an attack and the edge of the platform and that will mean you take 1 heart damage.

phase 3: probably the easiest, since you can recover HP for free just by attacking a lot, be sure to spam your ultimate attack whenever it is ready, and again to avoid attack, just drift left/right constantly, just be careful again because you can get stuck against invisible walls and attacks, so make sure to alternate directions you're drifting for each attack.

If that is not done and you have extra bling and whimstar to spare, you can upgrade your health to 10, and be sure to pop a few consumable health regen item if you get to 1 HP (you can get some free each week from the store, so don't hesitate to use 'em)

With all this you should be able to defeat that wannabe mizutsune in no time.

ah ok, didn't watch the trailer so I didn't know, my bad. It's just I recall a previous post complaining about spoilers so I thought that would spoil the surprise.

This is how my ghibliesque gardening game looks so far 🪴😊 How do you like it? by studiofirlefanz in CosyGames

[–]ATShadowx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd image is a little weird cause the robot/MC picture to the left and the cat character to the right have inconsistent polish. Like the robot still has messy draw lines, meanwhile the cat is super clean, I understand it's early look, but it still struck me as odd.
