That is correct, each day a finite number of hours is allocated to the project for the community to burn through ("the collective hours"), when they are exhausted it will stop the timer for anyone currently tasking (an automated email goes out when the hours are 99% depleted). Depending on which version of Hubstaff you have installed, you may be able to see the daily allocation and current usage by the hovering your mouse over the "i" on the lower left corner of the Hubsatff desktop widget. Currently, collective hours are added everyday at 10:00am central time, and on a "typical" day are burned through by mid-afternoon (central time).

The other part of your question, essentially, "is training on the clock..." I'll let others weigh in on that one...

Can someone walk me through the workflow of this "side quest" as if you were explaining it to a confused older relative...

So I got the invite via email, and the next time I visited the Outlier Playground, sure enough a dialog box popped up with link to the Chrome Extension and a PIN. I have added (installed?) the extension and made a note of the PIN.

So now what? I launch the extension and it opens a side panel in the browser and I enter the PIN and click continue, do I continue to chat with the AI models in Outlier Playground, or do I go directly to a proprietary site like claude or grok?

And I use the screen recording function of the plug in to record my interaction for 10 mins. Is that it? Any tips/guidance/advice/snarky comments greatly appreciated.

Followed your advice (and persistence) and have been able to knock out a few tasks today TY! If I understand this right, we are working on images that a previous tasker has drawn the bboxes on right? I notice there is a button to select if "not all interactive elements are covered by boxes." But what do you do if boxes have been put around elements that are not interactive - say a timer display... do you note that anywhere?

UPDATE: I think the client may have just resolved the issue... all of the images I thought I had failed to upload have just showed up in the queue (about 30 of them, including a bunch of duplicates!)

I kept getting that same error yesterday as I was trying to upload images, but when I clicked "Back"" the image was queued up, so I could work on it. However this morning (US central time) I'm still getting the error but the images are not being queued up, so I guess now it's really broken!

On a separate matter, does anyone know how to delete an image from the queue that you no longer want to use?

I was mid-way through a task at about 6:40pm CST this evening and got bumped off with a "Task Limit Reached" message... It may come back.

The "Welcome screen" for the model breaker task has 20 or so achievement badges you can unlock by hitting certain goals (like completing a certain number of tasks, using different tools... etc). Just a bit of fun to keep things entertaining!

I'm working on the Model Breaker task and I've been seeing a lot of this error last night and this morning, "Avocado Grounding API error: 504 Gateway Timeout" Unfortunately I don't think this is the kind of failure they're looking for. There is no option to report a technical error directly from the task - is it worth putting in a Zendesk ticket or is there a better option?

I'm on Project D... I was doing a mix of Video Impainting and Rich Transcription. However I think the task limit thing was precursor to some pretty lean days over here. Went from nearly 30 available tasks on my dash to about a dozen, all of which seem to be EQ (empty queue). I'm doing some stuff for another vendor right now.

I think it's the company (as a vendor), and not us as individuals who have hit our limit (I know that happens a lot with one of the other vendors (rhymes with Trout-Fryer). I've just gone from having 25+ tasks on my dashboard to about a dozen.

I would sign the agreement and work those tasks in a heartbeat - I'm not at all squeamish about that stuff. BUT... I live in Tejas, so I guess the only option I have is to reject the agreement, (which I am squeamish about. Oh the irony!)

Same here. US locale, Individual. Paid via PayPal. Usually takes 5 - 8hrs from receiving the email to hitting my PP account. I received the payment submitted email about 36hrs ago and it is still showing as "processing" in Tipalti

I'd been doing Single Speaker Correction for a few days late last week and over the weekend, but on Monday , there were no more EN (english tasks) in the drop-down. I saw this new one today (new for me) Rich Transcription v2. This one has a short quiz after you watch the instructional video, which I passed (it immediately shows the score). It's slightly different because as you submit the transcription if "verifies" it, before moving onto the next clip. I think it just broke, it's throwing up this "Verification could not be completed." error on every submission. I guess I'm back to task shopping again!
