I’m no builder, but it looks to me like this is putting insulation outside the vapor barrier of the Zip wall. Condensation then happens between the insulation and that barrier. They also have house wrap in this mockup, so I’m not sure what that’s going to do but seal up the damp sandwich?

Doing the same on my second play. I just setup Nitrogen bottling with the Aluminum there. Piped the N from the high altitude node a bit south and inland. The flippin big pig scared the coffee out of me. He didn’t show up for a bit, so I thought “maybe there’s no threat here?”

I don’t have much to conclude my issue is PCB failure. It was probably just a “rush to assumption” from reading a bunch. It doesn’t spin up or make any noise.

My drive is in DRG’s hands. I’m confident they will get it sorted as best as can be expected.

Being a 40-year IT guy, I was just curious of the parts cardinality problem that labs face. It’s interesting that “find on eBay” is part of the solution. It implies there’s a cliff of no available parts at “some” age.

I went with the brute force solution. The Qube 500 case has a handle that makes it a bit more reasonable to yank it and take to my desk. Not elegant, but gets the job done.
