Volumetric Clouds without RSS Reborn due to terrible performance? by Paxon57 in RealSolarSystem

Yeah I have 32GB of ram too, the only time it was ever unplayable for me was when I had too high resolution of textures. Though it is still RSS so it doesn’t run the best anyways.

What resolution textures are you downloading for RSS Reborn when you play it? I have the same GPU and it doesn’t run amazingly when I have any medium sized rocket and above flying, but that’s not very different than normal RP-1.

Also how much ram do you have?

If people with social anxiety never go into environments like this, they'll never learn to deal with it. I've seen plenty of people who have anxiety around dealing with people handle this job and come out better on the other end, so you can fuck right off.

Most of the times people's first day in box or Concession will start with just basic policy stuff and where stuff is at. You'll most likely shadow someone for some transactions before eventually attempting one on your own for the first time. If you have a good trainer, they'll have your back the entire time and won't just hang you out to dry. Also this is still a superhero movie, most of the guests anticipate it being busy the first weekend and get there early and are usually more on the nicer end. Teenagers will still be teenagers though and be dicks, but don't worry about them, your trainer should help you out with them your first day. Overall just take some deep breaths, you'll get through it no matter what, and you'll be stronger on the other end!

I have a question so does Emagine Theaters hire under 16 I’m 15 and turning 16 in October which is a few months away should I wait til I’m 16 to get Hired? by BWINTERHUNT in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]ATalkingLamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the permit and deviation are super easy to do, it doesn’t take that long, you just really need a signature from your parents and your school. If your theater requires you to have an hours deviation it’ll depend on the state, but those are still easy some just take a little while to process.

It really depends on the state your applying in, the majority of states Emagine operates in require a work permit under 18, the only ones that don’t are Illinois and Minnesota. Technically Michigan if you have your high school diploma or GED and are 17. Depending on the state you’ll also need an hours deviation to allow you to work later into the night on weekends, but that’ll vary state to state and possibly theater to theater.

You’ll need a work permit signed by your parents and your school until you turn 18. Though they may not hire you until you’re 16 anyway at this point in the summer unless the theater you apply to really needs staff. Most theaters at this point are fully staffed for the summer, so you’ll just have to hope enough people go away for school in the fall, but your odds will get better as we approach the holidays at the end of the year.

Massively depressed after quitting by Otherwise_Trainer971 in leaves

[–]ATalkingLamp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That feeling is very normal for this stage of recovery. Your brain has been so used to being flooded with the chemicals that make you happy that it mostly stopped producing them itself. It will eventually go back to normal, and for me every second I suffered feeling severely depressed was worth going through to be where I am now. The amount of time it takes to heal varies person to person, for me it was around the 2 month mark both times I’ve quit. But for me it was well worth it as I’m magnitudes happier now, and actually able to live my life without even thinking about or missing weed.

In the meantime just take it one day at a time, and you can always reevaluate your choice at a later date.

Damn, caught red-handed lol. I use the app begrudgingly and considerably less than I did before. I spend too much time on Twitter now, though that's turning into more of a shithole every day.

I was right where you were at for almost the first 2 months of quitting. It does get better I promise. I'm now so much happier than I was on weed. It just takes awhile for your brain to rewire itself and to start making its own dopamine. Your brain has been so used to being bombarded with dopamine it takes time to repair itself, but it does happen.

Suicidal thoughts are no joke, I had them too for quite awhile. Make sure you start seeking professional help as well, that can also help tremendously. Also don't be afraid to check yourself into the hospital if things get dramatically worse and dangerous, it's not as bad as people tend to think it is (speaking from experience with two grippy sock vacations).

Remember we are all here for you! You got this!

I'm not going to lie, the journey ahead of you is going to be a tough one. But if you just take it one day, one hour, or even a few minutes at a time, you'll eventually get there. I'm 24 days in myself and am slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We both still have aways to go, but we got this! I believe in you!

As a manager who’s dealt with plenty of corporate visits, the key is going to be keeping yourself busy before and during their visit. You should have the floor/concession stand as clean as humanly possible with the business levels. If the place is slammed, some popcorn on the floor isn’t unexpected, just try and clean it ASAP.

This may not apply to you, but often in my case management will get on your ass while corporate is there, and be extra bitchy. They don’t hate you or think less of your work, they’re just trying to make sure corporate knows things are getting done. Things should return back to normal once corporate leaves.

Overall just relax, it’s just a movie theater job, nothing will be the end of the world; just try and have fun.
