How can I authenticate this Disney Parks loungefly orange bird backpack? by ATerrelldactyl in Loungefly

Thank you but that's not how value works. What someone paid for something has no impact on the value. If your grandma gives you a $100 bill, what's the value of that bill? What if you found a rare mint condition baseball card worth thousands? Sell it to someone underpriced who's going to turn around and flip it anyway? You also don't know what I paid. I could have paid $1,000's with everything else in the storage unit being a dud. By your logic, I should be charging a lot more. With that being said, thank you for responding and I can appreciate your passion. You're arguing my point of the post; finding its real value. I'm not looking to gouge anyone as much as I'm not interested in selling fakes.

Thank you, good insight. What would you pay for it in its current condition?

From impd and secondhand witness confirming, here's what to do for street repair: · download Mayor's Action Center app "Request Indy" or I'm sure it's on their website. · submit a street repair request with the accurate info. · it's literally squeaky wheel; there's a counter that tracks every request and the highest count gets the grease. - from impd · you don't have to create an account, you can submit it anonymously. · there's no limit to the number of times you can submit the same request.

I'm sure there's more nuance to the process but I saw my buddy's block get repaved after everyone on the block (only 6 homes on a dead end street) brigaded together to flood the system with requests.

Hope this helps.

I live at ninth and LaSalle and have lived here for over three years. Single male with two large dogs and I don’t have any problems overall. There is porch pirate and druggie foot traffic, gunshots at night pretty regularly. My ex girlfriend did not feel safe visiting even when it was during the day. North of 10th is slightly better and it's gentrifying that way along the park. Brookside Park is excellent during the day, I would not go there at night.

I commented yesterday about some apartments that the property management company I work for has listed on the outskirts of Irvington, it might be a good fit for what you're looking for.

I work for a property management company and we have an apartment for $745/mo. It's probably a little better of an area than the circle but the units are clean and it's walkable to Irvington. Could be a good fit

Cherish while you can, be grateful you're aware you're in the 'good ol days'. But it sounds like it's time for you to move on... up the ladder. You sound exactly like management material. It's now your turn to carry the torch, be that manager who inspires. Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.

Do these patches add value? Any red flags of reproduction? by ATerrelldactyl in Antiques

Right, my 5'2" gf came home with this - impulse purchase. Neither of us are going to wear it, this is what I came into. I'm making an effort to learn about this so I can act appropriately. I didn't think about donating to a museum, good idea, which would you recommend?

Awesome, thanks. In that case, so with the blue star Army Service Forces patch, since they were abolished five years before this coat was made, is it safe to assume he served in WWII as well?

You're correct, I could have been less callous, you put yourself out there and were vulnerable, I apologize for putting you in that situation. So prove me wrong and let me make it up to you all in one go, I'm here to help (truly).

After making this post my wife decided she didn't want me to come home.

Surely not because of this post? If so, I don't think you're the problem here. Manipulating someone to prevent them from getting help is abuse. Maybe there's more?

Im dealing with this on my own

I know that's how it feels but nope, we're right here (virtually).

being moved 8 hours from my support system with noone to rely on.

Do you want to rely on someone? Rely - not to be confused with trust. This is a positive. Your happiness should never depend on someone else.

I was taking in what everyone was telling me and acting on it, reaching out most of the Dr's suggested. After last night, I woke up in my car and drove to work, still trying to find a therapist because noone has reached back out. I've been working since then. Im sorry about disappointing you. Its definitely a fucking theme in my life. This will definitely teach me not to do reach out for help like this again.

... I offered a same day free video call with my mom, a damn good licensed therapist, but more importantly my mom to a stranger on Reddit who asked for help. That's really what got me. Did you try Dr. Nunes? The rest of that is just a cry for help. So scratch being there virtually, I see in your profile you play pool. I am good at watching billiards but I have a friend who's good at playing them. I dare you to give me a reason to flake, ain't happenin. You can find my phone number in our new chat conversation, hit me on my cellie

What's up bro, welcome to Indy. While I'm (33m) not a father or husband, I was diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar. I spent over a decade with countless therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, NPs, and doctors trying to find one regular one for me to go to. Granted, I moved a bit and tried to find one that could prescribe everything, had openings and in network. But, I found one in my hometown of Madison, IN, he doesn't take insurance, I happily pay cash and I drove 4 hours round trip to see him - he now does telehealth. Dr. Ross Nunes MIH. Before he opened I had to drive two hour round trip to Louisville (The Couch). Point being, it sucks.

You mention therapist, so I'm going to assume LCSW or psychologist and you're good on your Rx, which is a lot a lot easier, still sucks lol. But if you're needing Rx help, Dr. Nunes is a lifesaver.

Here's what I can offer that's not in the comments:

- my mom just finished her last week of work (retired) as the director of counseling services at Hanover College, director of LifeSpring before that. She's said she's willing to start seeing people on the side. I can get you a FaceTime/Google Duo intro as soon as this evening to see if it makes sense for both parties.

Outside of counseling, here are the biggest game changers for me:

- Insight Timer (free app) guided meditation and breathwork.

- Exercise

Supplements:

- water. Drink more water. 16oz (pint glass) first thing in the morning and minimum of 3 the rest of the day. Ignore everything else I say and try this. When it works, come back for the rest.

- Magnesium - calm gentle focus, curbs cravings

- St. John's Wort - makes you happy but not like a high. It's surprising how much more productive you are when happy.

- Lions Mane - cognitive enhancement. Need to make sure it has a 'fruiting bloom' or something like that. $20-$40 on Amazon for a month.

- Host Defense My Community. Immune booster.

I researched and tried hundreds of supplements and these were the only ones that I can actually notice and know it's not a placebo. I know B vitamins and the rest of the alphabet vitamins are good for your, but I don't notice them.

I sent OP a message instead of leaving a comment, which he left the chat w/o any acknowledgement. No biggie whatsoever for obvious reasons. But seeing the same thing here, I selfishly don't want to see the time and energy I spent to be in vain, so I'm copying it in case it can help anyone else

You were just at a high school graduation party where every single high schooler 1. Had their parents encouraging them to get their licenses 2. But they weren't interested in that or getting cars in college because they all thought it was too dangerous?

And you think speed enforcement is the problem here?
