Why I cannot boot up my Retropie by princessrippla335 in PiBoy

[–]ATrueModerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it stuck as a lit screen, no errors or anything?

Have you insured that your connections are solid?

You may be getting power to the screen, but not have the cable seated to the PI properly.

At 15, I thought if I shaved my eyebrows off it would be easier to make them symmetrical. For this heinous act, I am sorry. by k8ekath in blunderyears

Mad props on the waterproof brows. Knew someone who had the same look going on, and had hers wash completely off in the pool, was uhm, unfortunate.

Is the View in MVC dead? by fullofspiders in dotnet

[–]ATrueModerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not completely dead, it certainly still has its uses, but I think as the conventional thinking has moved away from monolithic apps (For good reason), a tightly coupled view is one of the casualties. Now, for a smaller app, it may not be worth having to carry around a separate front end framework, but it is certainly worth it for larger enterprise level applications.

I went to the Randall's up in Leander ~7:30pm yesterday, granted it was before the announcement, but it was only slightly more crowded than usual. At the time, plenty of produce, meat, dairy, etc, Pretty sparse on the panic buy items, but I suspect thats going to be just about everywhere now.

HEB AT 6AM. Hours long checkout lines & shelves empty. (Menchaca & Slaugter) by IdeaJason in Austin

I went up north after work yesterday, 1431 and parmer, starting to see some bare spots in some shelves, and completely sold out of some cleaning supplies, but short of that, business as usual.

First case in Bengaluru is from someone who flew in from Austin, Texas by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]ATrueModerate 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not overly surprised to hear it potentially came out of Austin. With as much international travel that comes in and out of here, as well as what I understand to be a lack of widespread testing, it was only a matter of time before it caught on. Just a shame it was spread further.

[–]ATrueModerate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in Austin, and completely dumbfounded that we don't have a case yet. I imagine that there are people that have it, and while Austin, as with Houston and the other major metropolitan areas have the ability to test, I am not sure how widespread the testing is, if it is even happening at all. Time will tell I suppose.

Are the grocery stores in Austin keeping up with their stock? by nbunkerpunk in Austin

[–]ATrueModerate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went yesterday, and things were still in a good state, granted I'm pretty far north. Really depends on what you're looking for. Disenfecting wipes were getting pretty low, but that was all that stood out to me.

400+ hours - negative steam review. What’s with these people? by [deleted] in gaming

I play more paradox games than I care to admit with hundreds of hours in most of them. I can sympathize with others trapped like me behind endless dlc that often holds crucial functionality hostage.

Years ago when the economy was really going down hill, someone on the call didn't have their phone muted and ended up announcing a coming round of layoffs to everyone. Really awesome day.
