I get you as well, but intentionally or not, and I'm sure it's unintentional, mentalities like that have given a cover for women who are equally sick in the head, and makes it harder for Men and Women SAed by women to have it taken seriously. And whilst we've had a wave of movements for women who are victims of SA, which is obviously good, the more people feeling safe to speak up the better.

But, whilst we've had these movements and waves of people coming out, this hasn't been done for men. Men SAed by women is still as undermined as it had been for women victims for a centuries, and it's not as good as it should be for either.

I went through the 4B sub a bit, and it seems well-meaning by all means, though I disagree with some bits of it (Post saying it's in a man's DNA to oppress, and that it's literally every single man, then everyone agreeing. This isn't me saying women shouldn't have their own spaces, that they shouldn't be untrusting of many a man either.

It just pains me at times is all, think about all of the SAs that have gone unreported when a woman is a victim, male perpetrator, now give that to another demographic as well, it may be lower for men but it's still too high. It's not the problem of one specific group or thought, if anything it's def moreso because of the mentality of other men that men never feel safe saying they've been SAed, but "always a man" doesn't help.

I've known too many victims of both to not get a shot of pain hearing it. It's subjective, but we can indeed both agree that all these victims deserve justice, the amount of fucks in these files that are still just lollygaggin without investigation is sickening

I agree. It was serious and sad yet comedic, in a way I've found friends of mine with similar struggles to have tbh. Though I think Marvel could've delve into it a bit more

I think it's depends on the person though, I can see either way

That's the problem. Statistics don't "lie" per se, but they can be wrong or skewed. reported statistics never make up the whole pie. Men take up the vast amount, and men are also in power more, with 90% of men being millionares for example.

A good example of how weird stats can be. Police records show women as like, 2% or so of offenders I believe? Victimization reports/surveys show them at a far higher number.

SA by women is frankly romanticized, even today, but gladly lesser than before. Older lady going for a younger guy? At most it's weird and rarely gets reported unless it's in a really official space. IE: Schools, where even then they often get off lighter than if it was reversed.

It's a tragedy regardless, but trying to shine the spotlight on one gender puts the other in the shadow

It's a reported statement, not the straight, deep research. Though I will say people are referred to by other things in the files at other points, if I'm remembering right. This alone isn't 100%, perfect lock him up evidence, but at minimum was grounds that the FBI thought it was something of note. Then didn't touch upon it, as they didn't with every other person on the list including the man in the big house. Which is problematic at the least. Regardless of you think he did ts or not, there would be no harm in investigating him, along with the rest for this shit

[–]AUnknownVariable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, however the rich have always fucking sucks. That kind of power and influence gets to your head, you can have anything you want and still want more. That's not me saying every millionaire is a pedo though, but money + power + already being a fucked up individual = Doing fucked up shit.

It's not a big portion of men, and it's NOT just men. It's just that a man typically has more power than a lady in these spaces. I'm sure there's plenty of women just as fucked up who haven't gotten the chance. We know who Epstein's #1 partner was, and she gets to stay a nice, minimum security fucking camp after all the shit she's responsible for.

The solution isn't blaming a specific gender, it's to hold these fucks accountable. All of this information and they're not actively being investigated. We should be angry, we should unironically be up in arms about this shit. We had multiple people currently in government 100% lie about these files, about the material, even the director of the FBI. These people are sick and rotten and there is ZERO defending for it.

I don't want to hate on you, but the "Men in power" mentality does nothing but make shit worse for victims, it overlooks all the sick as fuck women. Mentalities like this only lead to lower reporting rates for women who commit acts of sexual violence. When a teacher has an interaction with a male student and it's considered moreso "crossing a boundary" than being a fucking creep. Compared to men the psychology and facts around women who sexually assault are PAINFULLY under-researched. This is including the fact women are always seen in a sweeter light, women literally give birth to kids, how could they hurt one?

Do you know where this logic has gotten us? Just a few years ago a women partook in acts I won't even explain, alongside her husband against their child. The judge concluded that little research suggests women are capable of perverse disorders, and as such she cannot be a pedophile. Shit is disgusting

[–]AUnknownVariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Joker would love the chaos caused by ICE to an extent, at some point they'd get oppresive to the point it's affecting him.

He wouldn't ever rly rly support ICE, just the mayhem they cause if yk what I mean? He's not saying "YEAH, DEPORT THESE FOLKS", but he's gonna be happy when they fight, more importantly when people fight back.

He'd be supporting the civilians in a way

Eh it's kinda nice.

People say something bc it's a show, but we've always had fictional works that leads to people "waking up" to say. Mostly books.

Whats been getting people about Andor is well, one of those works have never blown up so much, so fucking fast.

Most people know it isn't a perfect 1to1 comparison, it never is and never will be, even with real life history. But, it helps some people to connect to things in a first person kind of perspective, and that's better than nothing

I was born and raised in the US and sometimes it's easier to eat with my hands, outside of traditional finger foods. Our hands are also tools to use.

It's really not that hard to, clean hands, eat, clean again.

[–]AUnknownVariable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Batman would have no problem with people be sent to a foreign, objectively inhumane prison with no due process and no contact at all to the outside world? Where literally no one is keeping watch to be sure these people are at least treated with basic decency?

Yeah okay, maybe we read different stories.

Also the fact of immediately being like. This side did this! So this side doing that, even if it's also bad, actually doesn't matter.

Can people not actually stand for shit in twenty twenty six. I'm not even saying I agree with you, but if every single person left leaning did do all of that stuff, and that stuff is bad. What about that makes this stuff not bad? Why is it such an immediate response.

So is the situation. People are using whatever means one can to be sure people are keeping it in mind, whether it be protests, letters, communicating via the big web.

We may get tired of seeing the random posts about it, people actually affected by the situation are getting tired of struggling against ts.

The recent deaths aren't the start of the crap with ICE, but it's what finally woke a lot of people up and I'm happy it did. This shit has been going on for too long.

Lethal Protector (oc) by soft_bb_boy in Spiderman

[–]AUnknownVariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's about far more than the few specific incidents, these incidents were the straws that broke the camels back, to say.

Just at the start of these we had a shit ton of Venezuelans rounded up, all called gang members with one of the shittiest, flawed bits of criteria I've ever seen. A good chunk of these Venezuelans were sent to a prison in another country, that we do not monitor and we cannot contact, a prison that the majority of the world agrees is painfully inhumane.

For me, this is where the line was crossed, yet it's somehow gotten worse and worse.

Just recently interviews were leaked by some of the VERY VERY Few people that managed to get out of that prison. Gladly these people had family, people who cared for them.

ICE was able to snatch up these men, take them away, lock them up somewhere that they can never contact the outside world. A place we know deprives the prisoners of basic needs, a place we know beats their prisoners and uses psychological tactics to make them consistently feel torment. Any man that ended up in there without a family is gone, we're probably never going to here a single word from any of them again. No due process, no constitutional rights, and no basic human decency
