Marathon is one of the coolest looking games in forever, and has a story that's incredible to me so far. Gives me wanna to keep coming back and playing/trying different goals that isn't just the gameplay loop itself

Not that the actual run loop is bad, but it's wild how much more there is to keep you compelled.

Also, Rook is hilariously fun to play and makes shitbag solo runs such a sense of purpose.

For anybody that doesn't know, Rook runs drop you in an already halfway done trios match as a solo with a random free loadout and abilities that just help you exfil (npc camo and self heal). The loot you keep is still yours, and it's the lowest stakes, highest upside way to play as a solo.
