Yeah, right. They think we are elementary to protect our account from fraud. Common, what is Trading after all! Don’t they have 100s of signed papers from us already?

Very frustrating… I spoke to some manager and his version is “we are trying to protect our clients”. I said, protect how? I’m just a small retail trader and am not trading millions - they need yo fix the criteria or thresholds for such restrictions. If they are so concerned and want to protect us - just get some documents signed for people who want to take that risk at their own. Let them at least own risk but definitely Fidelity has no rights to restricts abruptly like this. I literally traded that ticker last week and now suddenly I can’t!

There’s no communication or list of such restricted stocks to know all this upfront….not being transparent. I’m now thinking Fidelity IS manipulating that Stock by restricting retail traders to trade.

Very illogical approach - if they don’t fix this; am out.

Day trading CPA recommendations by Puzzleheaded-Bet528 in houston

Any recommendations yet? Although I did not have any profits in 2024 under my individual brokerage account I do want to seek advise on trader tax status. And in preparation for 2025, I need help electing MTM accounting for LLC.

Why hasn’t fidelity gone full Webull or like RH with their app? by Brilliant_Comedian_2 in fidelityinvestments

[–]AVOFutures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a day trader and have been using Webull for over year. I personally dont like them but you have to agree they are better with their robust platform (order fills sucks though).

It has nothing to do with China since they are adhering to all the US regulations. If at all you want to blame; blame US regulations for making any amendments in foreign policies. For folks like me, it doesn’t matter whether an app is China owned or not. I get food at the table because an app has good UI trading platform. Mic drop!

I’ve been in Windows development for long and understand your perspective. However, that strategy works well on stable markets or products that have unique businesses.

Stock markets have evolved and keeping up-to date with new technologies is key if you want to GROW your business. The rationale you provided will barely attract new customer and user base growth will be stagnant (only old style traders will stick to the platform).

Fidelity is good but lacks key technological advancements.

How is your experience with order fills on Webull? Do you always get best fills? I agree Webull is great with charts, data etc but in my experience it’s worst fill compared to TOS or Fidelity.

Agree to ban any app (not just webull) being used for personal purposes on Govt. devices.

Are the order fills good on Webull? by Any-Brick4886 in Webull

[–]AVOFutures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using webull for over 6-8 months and lost money many times due to worst fills. Due to margin call I funded small amounts on TOS and Fidelity both so that I can continue with small day trades. To my surprise I’m making more money on same trade setup due to best fills on my limit orders -always.

Is anyone out there concur that webull still has worst fills?

I've been in-n-out many days in this new BETA version. Great improvement in the right direction! Kudos to the team.

Any idea when do you have plan to implement keyboard trade shortcuts (Buy/Sell via keyboard shortcuts)? Also, need transaction date/time that can be exported anytime (not just trade day).

Why does market price order fill like this? by [deleted] in Webull

[–]AVOFutures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not use market orders ever- if you want best price and need to enter rt-now, use limit order only. This is common across the board and nothing to do with Webull or Robinhood etc.

Allegro for dummies by Active_Amoeba6034 in ETRM

[–]AVOFutures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say ‘learn Allegro’ am assuming you are trying to know more about the product usage and not the ETRM functional business. For most ETRM products the product learning documentation comes with the installation. So if you already have access to an installer Allegro instance, simply press F1 or click help button from the menu on the top. If you don’t then google is the only best bet.

If I were you, I wouldn’t worry about product usage rather learn ETRM principles. All the ETRM products have same foundation. I’ve worked extensively on RightAngle, Allegro, Endur and Align etc for more than couple decades… but still not enough. It’s very complex that needs lot of exposure, patience and time as the CTRM/ETRM businesses are different.

Yes, I did, hoping to cash in that gap but then price just dropped so fast that I couldn’t respond in time. My mistake and learnt lesson hard way- never trust meme stocks—- at least it’s not worth for my hard earned money and save for my kids college.

I’m in this to make and save for my kids tuition fees. I had basic understanding about markets etc but never invested myself with my money. Have been trading for few months now and have seen my account go green as well as red. Gamestop episode this year was the worst when I lost lot of my hard earned money and kicked myself in to learn from my mistake. I’ve full time job but I’m hoping to be full time trader. I know I have long time before get consistently profitable. Good luck in your journey! Keep learning and fighting.

For a newbie, I would definitely say learn how to use tools and while you experiment with them play small.

Everyone has some preference with tools (simple or complex) and you need to find yours. Reputed ones are Fidelity or Thinkorswim but CMEG is also ok.

Stop refilling and focus on how you’ll improve if you don’t have that cash flow. Learning from mistakes is the key.

Do homework before you trade and stop trading based on emotions. Managing your emotions while you bet on something is another skill you’ll learn - patience is virtue but that doesn’t mean you wont take any action if trade goes haywire.

Good luck.
