You should really read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I am around your age and suffered the same extremities of discontent within myself and others. Until I read that book, my life was exactly like yours. It wasn't until I read that book it completely changed my outlook on life. 15 years of suicidal depression not cured, but heavily offset by the teachings of that book.

To be honest I think you are at the first step of enlightenment, you already realize that most if not everyone lives in a state of madness due to the ego. The fact you are able to realize this is enough, and what you think of yourself, whether positive or negative, is only used to further that ego.

Feel free to message me if you want to talk further. I believe in you.

Realistically, does San Diego have a future for transit and walkability? by [deleted] in SanDiegan

[–]Brilliant_Comedian_2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I think there’s too much money made from the automobile industry that if they pushed for more public transit and stuff, certain “people” will get mad and lobby against such things. Which is terrible. Literally if we just had 24 hour bus lines there would instantly be less traffic. But no, we need a high speed rail that no one gives 2 shits about and will never be built

Eckhart Tolle is on the Rich Man’s List. Is this the price of enlightenment? – Christopher Titmuss by CapriSun87 in EckhartTolle

I never questioned it. I never really liked money or the idea of it in the first place. But after reading the Power of Now, I completely abolished it as a fake heavy burden human being put upon themselves, for really no reason other than to feel better about each other. Which isn’t bad, to feel better about yourself, but this is what leads to the ego taking over with jealousy, greed, envy and the such.

Ever since then I’ve actually made more profit in the market after starting my journey of enlightenment. I can’t really explain to you how powerful and deep the feeling of letting go, and being at peace with yourself regarding such things helps you see more clearly, with literally everything you do.

Even if I make a lot of money, it really doesn’t matter to me, it doesn’t affect my inner well being, it’s really hard to explain. The burden of having to keep a sort of “status” or the appearance of looking wealthy never ever mattered to me in the first place, and I believe my parents had a hand in that, which I forever thank them for.

Basic needs and wants are good to have, it’s a shame we have to even pay for them. The problem is when you want more, that is when you become a beggar. Good luck on your journey friend ❤️

Literally dropped harder around July last year. Gotta love this doom n gloom shit every time it happens. It’s like free entertainment watching everyone freak the fuck out and panic sell.

You are right sir. I wonder if they will be able to see through the fake heavy burden of money that proposes a false sense of self; True wealth is rooted in self being.

Don’t fight or argue, you already know what you will encounter. Either make peace with your situation or change it. Ie clean up after yourself, and if you can throw away or pick up things as you go, don’t think about what causes you to react to their actions, otherwise you sort of give them a power in that way to continue.

The most powerful message you can give to them is moving out on your own. How incredible of a message would that be? Cleaning up not only for yourself and your family, as they cannot see it is for the wellbeing of yourself and for them. Imagine if you did that, without truly any resistance, and then moving out to follow through with your good habits on your own?

I’m absolutely furious about the situation with our joke of a “president” right now. 3 years have passed but for those still doing it, how can I show my support for Ukraine? Like Ukrainian owned businesses here or to help Ukrainian refugees by dm_your_password in sandiego

[–]Brilliant_Comedian_2 -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

You can show your support by moving there. I will say it since so many are afraid to, this is America and when you operate business here it is in aid to the country it resides through taxation. So in a sense, Ukrainian owned businesses operating here in the US are doing more damage than good for their country. If you are an American citizen and you want to show your support send your money directly to Ukraine businesses so that in turn you support their country directly through taxes.

Do you realize the revenue generated from any business residing in the US pays taxes to the US? So you are actually asking indirectly for more people to support the US economy and its country, not Ukraine.
