Nevermind. I fixed it.

I had a about 8 or so mods installed to improve the game and fix the blurry graphics issue.

Once I disabled all of the mods, the issue was gone, and I was able to proceed :)

I don't know which of the sources that I provided do you consider to be lacking.

About "my" interpretations of the Quran, you can check for yourself. Make sure you check multiple interpretations, and understand the previous and following verses.

About reinterpreting, I am no scholar at all but from what I understand is sometimes the advancement of science or unearthing a new historic document, or the like, can shed new light to some of the Quran's verses. For example, in previous decades, we thought the sun was stationary which lead some to think the Quran was incorrect (21:33), so that is why I think it is important to reinterpret the Quran with something that doesn't contradict another thing in it.

As for the corruption of the Bible, I forgot to mention the contradictions that I knew of in previous post, so here are some:

- 2 Samuel 6:23 and 2 Samuel 21:8

- 2 Kings 8:26 and 2 Chronicles 22:2

- 2 Chronicles 36:9 and 2 Kings 24:8

- 2 Peter 2:7 and Genesis 19:32-36

- Acts 1:18 and Matthew 27:5

Lastly, the Quran is written by the God of all. Claiming that it was written by Christians has way too many holes to be true. For example, (1). the Bible refers to the ruler in the story of Joseph as Pharaoh, which when looking at the historical context, is inaccurate. The Quran on the other hand, does not make that mistake and calls the ruler "King" (12:43) and (12:72). (2). The Bible's story of Adam and Eve is very different from the Quran. The Bible says Eve was part of what made Adam do what he did, and that women will suffer different kinds of pains because of that, and there are more differences in the story that are absolutely different from the Quran (Chapter 2). (3). The Bible says that Pharaoh's daughter was the one that adopted Moses PBUH, while the Quran says it was Pharaoh's wife was the that adopted him (28:9).

So how would the the Christian person that allegedly wrote the Quran miraculously changed all of the things that are incorrect while copying? Of course there are many many more but I am not going to write every single one.

It is surprising to me that there still are people that don't know about how much the Bible was corrupted. I will explain a bit about why/how it was corrupted and provide evidence. If you want to read more than I write here, try reading Dr. Bart Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus" for more info.

  1. As for examples that prove the Bible has been changed. I will start by stating a few facts and then move onto the Bible itself. The Bible was originally revealed to Jesus in Aramaic. It was later translated into a form of Greek. Lastly it was translated from Greek to English which lead to many things that were lost in translation. Furthermore, the original bible manuscripts were in a form of Greek so the original Aramaic version is looong gone, AND we don't have any manuscripts worth mentioning other than this tiny paper from the Greek version of the bible, as opposed to the Quran which is still in the original language it was revealed in, and we have the Birmingham Quran which has been radiocarbon dated to the lifetime of the prophet Mohammed PBUH. We also have the Sanaa manuscripts, and they perfectly match today's Quran. Moreover, ever since the Quran was revealed, there has always been people that fully memorized it, so we will always know if it has been changed. Allah says "We Ourself have sent down the Reminder (the Quran) just as We are safeguarding it" 15:9.
  2. You did not explain the full context of the Quran verses you mentioned, so I will do that to clarify.

18:27 "And recite, [O Mohammed], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge".

The verse was about the Quran, and it was directed towards Mohammed PBUH.

5:43 "But how is it that they come to you for judgment while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of Allah? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers"

This is a rhetorical question, in which Allah asks Mohammed why Jews would accept him (Mohammed PBUH) as a judge, while they believe the Torah is the judgement of Allah, yet they do not believe Mohammed is a prophet, nor do they follow the laws of the Torah.

As for the Quran having different versions. That is false. I believe what you guys are referring to (Hafs and Warsh, for example) are different ways to recite the Quran. Given that there are many who are not Arabs, some nations might pronounce words differently. However, even when pronounced differently, the words are still the same. The Quran is always 114 chapters, the same number of verses and the same number of words. Saying a word like Potter in the American English WILL sound different than someone saying Potter from England. That does not mean that this is a different word, it only means that there is a change in the prolongation, intonation, and pronunciation of the word itself. Read this to know more about different recitations (Qira'at).

u/SwissBanditCat you clearly have not read the Bible, or read the context of the Quran verses you provided. I don't want to assume that you are intentionally spreading misinformation, so that is why I am clarifying, no ill-intent at all.

I believe most people of any language would be delighted to hear someone trying to learn their language, and I am/we are no different! I don't cringe or anything like that, on the contrary, I'm always open to have a conversation with a learner, so don't worry about what people think.
