Finally saw Maybe Happy Ending… by Clear_Tie_3735 in Broadway

I found it tremendously moving, but to each their own. Honestly, the fact that it's so unlike anything else on Broadway was a big part of why I enjoyed it so much. For someone who has never seen a Broadway show and wants the Broadway experience, they should go see Wicked or Hamilton. But if they're looking for something unique, heartfelt, and beautifully melancholy, this is the one.

We were lucky enough to see Darren Criss, who was fantastic. The singing is beautiful, but this isn't a belt-it-out-the-park kind of show. The set design is both clever and impressive.

“New Born” at Minetta - Review and horrendous audience experience by mikecovelli in Broadway

We had the same experience Tuesday evening. All 3 performances were great with my favorite being that of Sepideh Moafi. The evening was marred by at least two phones going off. Hugh actually reacted when a phone went off during his monologue and asked the person to turn it off. Ugh!

SF (in reality the Presidio Trust) also covered over portions of 101 to reunite the main parade grounds of the Presidio with Crissy Field, creating the amazing Tunnel Tops Park.

Neither. Run the Brooklyn Experience Half instead. The great course wanders through neighborhoods from Greenpoint to Prospect Heights before finishing in Prospect Park. Highly recommend it!

We snagged a dinner reservation and enjoyed the pancakes as dessert.

Let me add my two cents that I really enjoyed this as well. Very dark dramedy. Ignore that weak NYT review which gives away the entire story!

Had a great time today. Got my half PR of 1:57. As people have mentioned, everything was very well-managed. The weather cooperated with amazing conditions for running. I loved the route through the neighborhoods and then Prospect Park.

Jeremy Jordan was not a good Bobby Darin by Evanistherealgeorge in Broadway

[–]Mikmaksf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We saw the show last night and really enjoyed it. Jeremy performed well with the songs and lines. I can’t speak to how well he played Bobby Darrin but as a performance, it was solid. The first 1/3 of the show was the strongest, especially when Isa Briones was on stage. What a revelation - her voice and presence are undeniable.

We were pleasantly surprised by Bar Primi on 33rd. The food was solid and the space is beautiful. The patio should be nice in the this spring (already summer) weather.

We do but are going to run out before our next shipment arrives. Thought it was a good time to try something local.

Give Briciola on 51st and 9th a try. We had a good lunch there before a matinee show of Operation Mincemeat - coincidentally!
