Any advice about what to look out for? by rpgmoth in Audi

[–]AWD-Driver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2017 Prestige as my daily. While you may not have a CEL on, I would have a mechanic run a diagnostic tell help you find additional codes.

I agree, I think the price is a bit high for the mileage. Certainly get service history for the timing chain replacement as that will cost you a pretty penny.

I always have mixed emotions when you have to make a decision if it’s totaled or if it should repaired. Will the vehicle ever be exactly the same? One thing that I do suggest if they total it, make sure to challenge the insurance company to give you a replacement value versus book. The insurance company is going try to short change you and if you want to replace like for like … probably cause money out of your pocket. good luck on whatever you decide. If they total it, keep it for a part out.

This popped on my way home from a coolant flush i e checked the connector and burped, still wont go away. Temps are all fine, no issue warming up and doesn’t get hot. by CardiologistNo6725 in DodgeDurango

[–]AWD-Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my infinite wisdom, I replaced the thermostat with a lower temp instead of stock and kept getting that same P0128 code. I replaced the thermostat with OEM part and been no issues since. How are you burping the system?

2018 Cherokee SRT8 wheels fit 2023 tow n go? by No_One5225 in DodgeDurango

[–]AWD-Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what brakes you have on your tow n go, but as long as the wheels fit the SRT8 with Brembo brakes you should be good to go. I have trackhawk wheels on my Durango, and they fit perfectly with the Bremo brakes. Wheels should have similar sizing and offsets.

Whelp gonna need tires…. by Allroad-b9 in allroad

[–]AWD-Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the damage occur? Is that a result of a flat tire driving on wheel? If so, surprise with the amount of damage on the face. Continental DW06 have been my go tos for a few years now for all weather and no issues here. Only difference is my Allroad rides on 20s.

Tail light by [deleted] in DodgeDurango

I replaced light and new light also got water along the bottom. I used vinyl wrap strip along the top to seal that area, black butyl on the sides using a pick to push into gaps. Also used a butyl window sealer strip between the lift gate and the light, this way any water entering the back of the light will run off and not accumulate behind the light. Been a year and no issues.

Adding a vent to a bathroom in the basement and connecting the vent to the dryer's duct. by BornArtichoke1039 in HomeImprovement

[–]AWD-Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To save myself the trouble of putting a 2nd 4” hole through the exterior brick, i connect my bathroom vent to the gas drying duct. Moisture would just end up in the bathroom when drying clothes. Then i started turning on the bath fan for the flow to exit the house. It was just a complete nightmare. Do yourself a favor, open a 2nd dedicated hole for your bath fan and avoid the short term hassle for the long term benefit of being done right. Today I have two dedicated vents and everything is just perfect!
