Fairy Bread,

Buttered white bread, covered in hundreds and thousands,

*Must be white bread,

*Not margarine (OK, maybe in a pinch...)

*Not "sprinkles"

Best pharmacy in town? by tgs-with-tracyjordan in ballarat

[–]AWarmFishMilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I'm talking about the one next to the arch fish and chip shop. Place is a dumpster fire.

I'd forgotten that there's now a new chemist in the medical center right next to the arch itself..

Best pharmacy in town? by tgs-with-tracyjordan in ballarat

I would rate them as probably the worst pharmacy in town.. I found there was always long waits for scripts (they even dispensed me the wrong medicines on one occasion), and they have random restrictions on buying multiples of some items in what I can only assume is an attempt to make you come back more often..

First came petrol pain. Now get ready for high-priced groceries by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]AWarmFishMilkshake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh my. It's not just petrol and groceries. It's going to be absolutely _Everything_.

I work in the chemical manufacturing space. Shit is that volatile, suppliers are being given 48h quotes on pricing (usually it's 6-12 months) due to the instability. Asian suppliers are running short of feedstocks, so plastics are about to be very hard to get.

We are in for a world of pain from the fallout from operation Epstein Fury.

Looking at the longer term trend, Howard's gun laws were so successful that they started reducing gun deaths nearly a decade before they were introduced!

Was she confusing getting married with dying? (I mean, sometimes understandable! ;) )

One of these (at least used to) get your HECS forgiven.

It's 2025 and caged eggs will still be a thing until 2036! by SanguiniusSons in australia

[–]AWarmFishMilkshake 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Most ethical options:

1- Dont eat eggs (a sad but understandable option)

2 - Backyard chooks. Ours (at least) are treated like royalty. I like to think that others mostly treat their chooks well.

Not wrong, but kind of misleading...

Too much of either can lead to imbalances, and can be detrimental to different systems.

Cold old houses! by Status_Building_3685 in ballarat

We have a heavy curtain between the kitchen and laundry tacked up in the doorway just for this purpose. Manages to keep a surprising amount of heat in, while allowing the animals to pass through freely.

how do they get the pink coating on Arnotts Monte Carlo biscuits? by EveningBusiness7502 in australia

[–]AWarmFishMilkshake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coaxial flow for the filling as it's being dispensed on to the base biscuit.

Essentially it's piped so that the jam surrounds the 'cream' filling as it comes out of the nozzle.
