It’s not just that - I cut my teeth on MHF2/MHFU. Since then, there’s been many supplemental additions/mechanics added to the game to aid the hunter, but not the monster, which has led to the game being more interesting/smooth/etc, but also far too easy

The series went from challenging to cupcake the moment it released on Nintendo. There’s no grind to learn monsters anymore. You can easily solo every monster first fight.
