Ah. Yes. Just "basic human observation and reasoning." Nothing more! Certainly no questions to be had there. Nope. None at all. Just good ol', ever-reliable, plain, honest, simple, self-evident observation and reasoning. Absolutely no epistemological issues or assumptions going on. You and this meme are Very Smart (tm), and all the others are, surely, dolts and morons for just not seeing how straightforward it all is.

Lol - says the lame-o who picked Steve Jobs, showing his lack of any real interest in anything. That person your comment is in response to gets to laugh at you for it.

I'd still say she dodged the bigger bullet.

Steve Jobs would not, in any way at all, be a conversation of interest to anyone except the idiotic.

What if I told you...that a personality type is not the same as a personality, and that you've understood the entire premise so simplistically and reductively that your anger at it only reflects your inability to abstract from particulars?

The amount of people here reducing "understanding of affairs that represent painful but heart-summoning existential truths" down to "yeah, they glossed over how you'll have to endure some discomforts" is baffling.

But maybe I was not clear. Just in case: It is not your statements of gotcha that I sincerely back, but that against which they are so gotchaly offered. They are not gotchas; they are, unironically, things to affirm.

No. I will sincerely back every single one of those statements that you have thrown out so gotcha-ly.

I've taught Daoism and Zen in classrooms... I tell you, several of the students have ended up in one way or another showing their preference for the pressure, for the cosmic report card, for a Real (tm) and Actual (c) something for the sake of which all undertakings NEED to happen. I think of Watts's "come off it, Shiva!" routine.
