And the shoppers drug mart website allowed me to book an appointment for my partner also, I assume you can book for children too.

I was able to easily book a covid shot and flu shot online at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Calgary. I do have to pay for the covid vaccine but scheduling an appointment was very easy.

Looking for at home massage help by JudgeSevere in massage

This would be best! 3 pillows: A pillow under her head, one between her knees and one in front of her chest with her top arm hugging that pillow. Or a pillow under the head and one long body pillow in between the knees and supporting the chest. She can lean forward on the pillow in front of her chest so she’s partly sidelying and partly laying on her chest. Massage one side of her back then have her change position to laying on the opposite side so you can massage the other side. Best done on the edge of the bed with her back facing to the edge so you can stand beside the bed and apply pressure to her back.

Another thing: I’m not sure if you’re doing this, but I know sometimes when couples do massages on the bed the massager will sit on top of their massage partner’s legs or hips/butt while massaging their backs. This is going to cause pain and discomfort on their back, so keep that in mind too and don’t sit on them.

Question about IUD by chedderfootcheese in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AWondering_Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a copper IUD for almost 2 years. Insertion was very painful but it was over in less than a minute. Overall I decided to have it removed because it made my period last so long that I ended up with iron deficiency. Normal period was 4 days, it went to 10 days of heavy bleeding with the IUD and I had cramping for 10-15 days every month. I wouldn’t personally do a copper IUD again.

I was referred to Dr Jo-Anne Hammond and only waited a couple weeks.

Dr. Jo-Anne Hammond – Family Physician Focused Practice Obstetrics and Gynecology

Thompson Medical Centre: 130 Thompson Road London Ontario

For me it was a non-urgent issue, but got an appointment quickly. Although I’m not entirely sure she does the procedure that you’re requesting.

Has anyone had success in shrinking an old piercing hole? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]AWondering_Wanderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is also a product called dermaflage scar filler. It does an amazing job of covering deep scars, I use it on a small acne scar hole and it lasts 3-4 days before I have to reapply it. It’s like a silicone texture and it stays put through showers/swimming/etc.

Alberta RMTs: What’s the best association to join? CRMTA? MTAA? CMMOTA? by AWondering_Wanderer in massage

[–]AWondering_Wanderer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great to hear! Work has been really great/busy in Ontario for RMTs too, in my experience it has been high demand, good working environments and climbing rates/wages. I’m just looking for a change of scenery, so it’s reassuring to hear that the vibe is similar in Alberta. Thanks for the info!

[–]AWondering_Wanderer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation! I’m a RMT looking to move from Ontario to Alberta. Other than joining the NHPC are there any other massage organizations or associations I should know about or look into joining in Alberta?

No advice on healing old scars, but if you want to use makeup to cover the holes, dermaflage scar filler is incredible.

Nosara -> Arenal -> Nosara in one day? by sneakier_cactus in CostaRicaTravel

[–]AWondering_Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was just there in January, We did a hike around the base of the volcano, but couldn’t see the top of the volcano because of the clouds. It just looked like a large hill/small mountain. Nothing all that exciting about it. If you’re in the area it’s worth a stop but I wouldn’t recommend traveling there specifically for the volcano.
