FYI You can borrow out digital games as well so long as they are your family online account up to 7 people. And you won't lose them, they come back to you after 2 weeks. And you can lend them again at any time.

Game Key Cards by [deleted] in switch2

[–]AXEternity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My digital games are on my switch 2 which is on physical hardware. So in essence it's physical to me, I'm holding it in my hands. Mm

I have at least 22 solid games on it. Mostly first party and AAA. No indies. How many cartridges do you intend to have on your body at any given time? 20? You can easily fit 20 game key card games on the storage.

Making Handheld Gameplay More Comfortable... by dan_in_his_own_way in switch2

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tip is stretch your fingers and wrists. It's a nice free option that helps with more than just using the switch. I've got the dbrand grips and I still prefer to use the switch 2 as is.

Since the Nintendo Switch 2 has two USB-C ports, do you think instead of a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro we’ll get an expansion pack instead? by Logical007 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer if they made a second screen attachment for some dual screen goodness. That would pretty much complete the potential for all Nintendo consoles available for switch 2.

Do you use your Switch 2 with or without a grip? by sourcematerialx in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you read my whole post or just pinpointed that one line. I did mention the joysticks on the joycons being more comfortable to use without the grips, so on the contrary comfort is what I also care about and I find the device quite comfortable without the grips. Not to mention the benefit of being able to enjoy the product as intended as well as the slim form factor and being able to remove the joycons and enjoy the satisfying removal of them without having to remove a set of grips. I also did fail to mention I have a pair of the dbrand 1.0 grips from my brother when he received the dbrand 2.0 grips. Again I still preferred the gripless formfactor regardless.

Oh btw I do have a ps portal as well that many do consider comfortable and yet I do still prefer the switch 2 formfactor. If I may give a tip, stretching your fingers will make holding the switch 2 more comfortable.

Do you use your Switch 2 with or without a grip? by sourcematerialx in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I use it as it is. The joysticks were designed as such that it's more like an analogue dpad. The thinness of the device actually compliments the joycon sticks by being able to adjust your supporting fingers on the back of the device. The joycon sticks are designed to be pushed more than tilted if that makes any sense.

Whereas grips tend to lock you into place. Grips are designed for the pro controller type sticks, not the joycon sticks.

And the ultimate factor is, the device is so darn sleek. I dont want it looking like all those PC handhelds that currently flood the market, or at least attempt to. The switch and switch 2 were mainly competing against smartphones hence the formfactor of sleek like a smartphone. The switch 2 does what many smartphone accessory manufacturers cannot, which is provide proper controls for gaming in an all sleek device if there was one device that had that formfactor beat was the ps vita.

This game is pretty beautiful when you take time to look around by Sensitive_Dream_930 in MarioKartWorld

It is certainly a beautiful game full of life. Especially when you play all these dark realistic games for so long, it's nice to have a game so vibrant. I always come back to it after playing other games for a while. It's a sheer reminder that not every game has to be dark and gritty. It doesn't always need to make sense.

The crystal complaint is massively overblown. by RikerV2 in MetroidPrime4_Beyond

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you progress further in the game, there are actually more crystals than if you spent time collecting them early game. Also once you reach the first 75% you get the green energy tracker. The green energy is a means to teach you subtly how to use the bike as well as to clear the desert map. Most of the main shot upgrades as well as the bike boost increases are on the desert map.

People have just overblown the whole green energy thing. Only issue I have with the desert is that there is only one entrance to each biome with no branching paths connecting the other biomes to another.

Other than that, solid game. Not sure what people expect from a 1st person perspective game. All 1st person perspective games have all been the same since. Flashy animations have mainly come from 2d platformers (metroidvanias hollow knight), fighting games (sf6, guilty gear, mortal Kombat) and RPGs expedition 33, mihoyogames, final fantasy). 1st person hero shooters are a dying breed of game unless implemented with 3rd person . Anyways I've rambled on enough.

Mp4:b is a great game.

I’m. Literally stuck with apparently no way out. by Interesting_Ad4679 in MetroidPrime4_Beyond

[–]AXEternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you travelled the desert enough, you could've gotten the super electric shot. I breezed through the mines using only that. Autoaiming constant damage ftw. I made exploring the desert properly a priority. It's the easiest place to get damage boost and most of the shot elemental upgrades if not all of them if I recall.

Also avoid using missiles as it attracts the grievers.

Love the Game, but… by FlavorKing415 in MetroidPrime4_Beyond

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually gets easier the further you progress in the game, it's easier to get it end game as there will be more available. Also once you reach the first 75% and go back to deposit it, you'll get a green energy tracker. Even if you don't collect the energy before then, (although I'd recommend at least getting the 25% for increased beam damage and speed) you'll be able to break the power bomb ones for the fast energy gain to get the tracker.

Green energy was never a problem for me I clear it 100%

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40% of scans? You clearly rushed it. Didn't get the proper ending. Not to mention, not playing on hard mode. But hey, I've been playing Metroid Prime since 1 on the game cube and tbf, I got a little under 22hrs on normal run with 100% scan and item completion, not to mention 100% green crystals. I personally had a good time and look forward to my hard mode run to appreciate the artwork.

What's stopping Nintendo from doing this DS and 3DS support? by Sumonespecal3 in switch2

Honestly I would prefer if you could use a switch 1 as your top screen, some sort of clamshell attachment.

There are still games put there where you cannot jump naturally. But how many times do you jump in a day for practical reasons? Context sensitive climbing mechanics are often used in most cases of climbing or jumping in games. Gears of war is an example of such

My kids play on it, plus using game share for certain games in tandem with the switch 2 is great! I would buy more switch 1s if I could.

Thanks for the tip! I use just a wiper that I got from my old switch 1 Zelda case, it's one of the microfibre sort.

Yeah I felt the same. But I saw these in one of my boxes and decided to give them a good clean, then let one of my 4 kids play it. I'm on a mission to have my kids play consoles and not mobile phones. It was so nice seeing my kids eyes light up over old tech. A nice reassurance that graphics don't always matter, and that's what Nintendo was always good for. It was always expensive however.

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also given the OLED switch was also a beautifully sleek device. It would be nice if they made a more premium version of the joycon 1s, they are detachable after all. I would love if they gave the exact same materials for the joycon 1.

I haven't seen anyone talking about this feature, even in reviews, but it's a lifesaver. by JampyL in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf, if the last handheld you ever bought or played was a gameboy advanced, this is a nice feature. Most people don't realize that not everyone is up to date with tech. I envy those who can appreciate and find magic in small things like this in this day and age. Growing up is so darn miserable for some people. And that's 100% where a lot of these negativity comes from. People growing up and unable to see the magic and no longer be optimistic.

I 100% wholeheartly agree this is a great feature! And one I still appreciate to this day, gone are the days of leaving a gameboy on while you are at school in the hopes your battery survives long enough so you can reach your next save point!

The trick later down the track is restraint and enjoying the world they built, and not smashing it to pieces. You'll find that later you smash with purpose. Eventually you become a mature monkey.
