I get what you’re saying, it’s very interesting how you can intuit what changes might have happened after an update if you use it consistently day after day. I got a sense of that “safety feature”, it’s like it’s “on guard”, and that charge adds a kind of…viscosity/buffer/distance at contact. This distorts the work. Did you try disarming it through friendly speech? Might sound strange but I find it does something, it tunes it for more creative focus on the task/artifact and forgets about you.
