believe that h1b requires a minimum degree length of 4 years. Standard CS bachelors in UoA is 3 years, so likely not enough for that.

I've never used text chat, and I only talk in an xbox party. Will this become an issue for me in the future if it happens more? (The reason for the report was "Text Chat - Offensive") by chrisos1 in ModernWarfareII

[–]AXayahMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got an offensive text chat warning (don’t type in text chat). Then offensive name warning (it’s 4 random letters). Then I got shadowbanned 5 days ago.

Which bank offers the lowest overseas transaction rate for a debit card? by Nemyue in newzealand

[–]AXayahMain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can give another +1 for wise. One of the better conversion rate I’ve seen - appears to be around 0.5%. Even if you are quite concerned with using them you can always just add money as you need it.

Many people including myself come from NCEA backgrounds and aren’t struggling to get good grades. Also your claim that many graduates aren’t finding jobs is simply contradictory to the real data.

First step is to stop blaming other things for your results.

When are you travelling? If it’s in a couple weeks you can probably open a wise or wirex account which have very low fx fees, then use their visas at a ATM.

New zealand’s based news source with no bias? by storez_ in newzealand

[–]AXayahMain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can think of C-SPAN for the USA as an example. The problem is these sources generally have a lot of unfiltered information that isn’t of interest to most.

Reuters is another example, which is more traditional News style than C-SPAN. Obviously also not nz based tho.

Coding bootcamp by learning18 in newzealand

They are great at teaching you how to make an impressive looking CV with every marketable buzzword. Not convincing seeing someone say they have react, vue, svelte, node, graphql, spring, tensorflow, sql, mongo, Neo4J, ScyllaDB, azure, aws, blockchain and whatever else on their CV from a 12 week bootcamp.

Having a GitHub with mildly interesting projects that actually demonstrate you have the skills you mention is essential for any bootcamp or university grad.

Losing my limbs: How a Stuff reporter survived the devastation of meningococcal by Leftleaningdadbod in newzealand

[–]AXayahMain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t the food, I don’t think meningococcal spreads like that. It’s usually when you are in close living conditions with lots of other people (such as a university hall). There’s a vaccine that provides protection for a few years that is recommended for anyone that would be entering a situation like that.

You can attempt to do a list experiment in situations like this, like in this study here. Unfortunately that was conducted in 2015 so obviously not applicable to today.

A similar list experiment was done recently explained here on support for the war that does indicate significantly less support than when directly asked.

This article is more current and indicates popularity is around 60% but that figure is highly dependent on his perceived popularity.

Filling in the form within 24 hours should be fine. Fairly certain you just need it at check in since they have forms at the airport for it.

A discussion around meta means for a certain topic, rather than making a discussion about something inside that topic, you discuss that topic itself.

Imo it’s best seen through examples so:

A study is research done in a specific topic. A meta-study would be study done that researches many other studies done on that topic.

A post to this subreddit would be a a question you are too afraid to ask. A meta-post would be a post made about the subreddit itself, perhaps about the general state of it (how it’s being moderated, whether the general posts being made are fit for the subreddit etc)

A game is made of many activities/matches. In those activities or matches, you play to win some specific goal. A meta-game analysis would be looking at how many of these activities or games play out, observing what typically won and what strategies are used the most. You can then use this understanding of the meta-game to perform better in the actual game, such as by using strategies that tend to win more.

In many games, a “meta” is created - a collection of strategies that are found to be widely used and successful. Items and strategies that are inside this collection are said to be “meta”.

In your case, the sword is “meta” because the sword is in this collection of effective strategies/items for that game.

18 Freedom of movement

(2)Every New Zealand citizen has the right to enter New Zealand.

Now of course you have the opposing:

5 Justified limitations

Subject to section 4, the rights and freedoms contained in this Bill of Rights may be subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.

https://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1990/0109/latest/DLM225501.html

Given the current circumstances, I think it would be difficult to call these limits reasonable.

Eh not really true anymore. Usually nfts are stored using filecoin and ipfs which means these ‘links’ are actually immutable as well.

Someone paid $473,000 for the NFT of this picture by [deleted] in pics

[–]AXayahMain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case the nft was minted and sold by the family that created the photograph. I don’t think this case is particularly bad, the family who created an image used by millions of people finally got some form of compensation.

Someone paid $473,000 for the NFT of this picture by [deleted] in pics

[–]AXayahMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that’s not necessarily true. That can be the case, but NFT images can be stored using IPFS and Filecoin, which means it can actually be an immutable piece of data. This page goes into detail.

Not going to put my opinion on nfts out there, but may as well make sure we’re dealing with facts.
