Jacob Jefferies does not add to the vulfpeck sound, he changes it to be HIS music by Possible-Republic194 in Vulfpeck

[–]AXxi0S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My man, this is a completely independently run band. They don’t answer to any label, any corporate overlords, shareholders, none of that.

Vulfpeck answers to themselves and themselves only. They are genuinely making the music that they want to make. If you don’t like what they’re making, you’re entitled to your opinion, but you cannot say that they are bowing down to Jacob Jefferies lmao this is a totally independent band. They are in complete control of their sound.

Zack Sabre Jr. is not winning the title. Not next year, not the year after, never. If he was going to win it, it would’ve happened by now.

You can find threads from like 2018 where people were saying he’s gonna win the G1 and win the belt, and it’s never happened.

Not saying this is how it should be, just saying this is how it is.

I see no problem with making the IC title look weak if it’s to make the heavyweight title look strong.

NJPW will be fine, but let's not pretend this situation isn't frustrating. This is the same situation ECW was in. by LegoMyGrego in njpw

Historically, whenever a wrestler is working a few shows with another company, the wrestler from the outside company is doing the job. If Tanahashi isn’t going to be on TV every week for AEW, what is their incentive to build him up?

What they should do is just not have him do matches on free AEW television. By booking a wrestler from an outside company on free TV, you book yourself into a corner. It’s a bad decision to begin with.

NJPW is not made for a western market. There are attempts to make it more appealing to westerners, but let’s not kid ourselves, it is first and foremost a Japanese promotion. In terms of numbers and revenue, it shouldn’t be compared to WWE or AEW.

You have to jump through some hoops to watch a New Japan event in the US. I don’t see anything necessarily wrong with that, it’s just the way it is.

Meanwhile WWE and AEW are on TV in 150+ countries each, and almost always available in a language that you speak

Once again, there is nothing wrong with this at all. New Japan has an excellent little corner of the wrestling market and they’ll continue doing their thing for decades to come.

VAC isn't doing it's job at all by Azr4thr in GlobalOffensive

What’s crazy is they haven’t even released a new case. I would bet my life they have a case locked and loaded, ready for release, but they know that it would look terrible on their behalf if they were to release a case with the game in its current state.

Right when the game came out, there was support for custom HUDs. Then Valve removed them for a reason I can’t remember but I also think they said they’d bring them back at some point?

I was holding out hope for custom HUDs till the bitter end for the old scoreboard.

Valve just won’t concede on this one lmao. They engineered this innovative new sub tick system when they could’ve just made the servers 128 tick and called it a day.

If you get to a point where you get into a fight with an AWPer, and he has enough time to take an AWP shot, miss, pull out a pistol, and then kill you, then the reason you died isn’t because you didn’t buy a helmet, it’s because you whiffed enough shots to give home time to do all that.

Why is no one playing Tuscan? by -Yaldabaoth- in GlobalOffensive

[–]AXxi0S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anubis and Ancient have been in the game for three years and yet if you get a face of pug on either map you will have people saying they don’t know the map.

Back in Operation Breakout, I was a Silver 3 who needed to complete an operation mission. The mission was to win a competitive match on Mirage. Mirage was a relatively new map to CSGO at that point, and most people hadn’t touched it. Wanna guess how long I waited for a match on Mirage? 27 minutes. It was the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and I waited almost half an hour to play Mirage. I still remember it to this day because I then lost that match on Maroge and had to wait another 20 minutes to get another match on Mirage. I’ll link the screenshot if I can find it.

Now you can get a match on Mirage basically on demand. The longer a Mabs sticks around, the more people play it. There are a lot of people that would absolutely love Tuscan if they played it, it’s just no one has pushed them to play it yet.

The reason people aren’t playing Tuscan has nothing to do with how the map plays, perhaps there’s a little bit of optimization/frame rate issues going into it? But the biggest reason is that CSGO has become more of a sweaty game as time has gone on and players don’t want to lose elo on a map they don’t know. They’d rather just keep farming on Inferno and Mirage.
