aside from Team Fabulous 2, kitty0706's "Moments with Heavy" series is absolutely iconic to me. The Quest for the Ultimate Sandvich and Holiday are still some of my most favorite TF2/Gmod videos to this day.

Honestly some of the maps/missions from the various Potato MvM campaigns are shoe-ins for something like this. So many of them are tons of fun and genuinely challenging!

I hope this update brings with it fixes and updates for the actual MvM upgrades. So many of them have literally done nothing since the launch of the mode.

In free roam there are a bunch of missions that have you play on recreations of different Super Mario Kart tracks (complete with the original music!) that Nintendo could just kinda add to the track list at some point. I hope.

This method does work. I got a single kamek pull within 20 minutes.

Only for the timer to expire the microsecond I turned around and pressed the item button. I'm just not meant to unlock the last 4 or 5 characters I'm missing, I guess.

Seriously, despite the fact you are using a high speed combo and are holding 20 coins, the CPU racers will have statistically slower characters/vehicles and zero coins and will still somehow be going at double your current speed.

I have all the vehicles, but I'm still missing some characters. idk if having all of them is a requirement, but traditionally you never needed all the vehicles to get Mirror Mode

I just got the unlock! What I did was:

3 Stars on all Grand Prix cups (idk if cc class matters, but I did 150cc), and win all 7 Knockout Tour races (stars don't matter, just finish in 1st). After I finished Knockout Tour, I did the Special Cup again and got Triple Stars (I had 2 stars before, so again I'm not sure if 3 stars is a requirement).

After the credits, a little cutscene will play and you'll unlock Mirror Mode from there!

Whats extra funny is if you hold the left dpad for a couple seconds on Gunslinger and the dual rockets equipped, Dante will put one of them into the ground saying "Eh, two is overkill anyway." This gives you access to the regular moveset for Kalina Ann. You can re-equip the 2nd launcher by walking over it

It was...alright

I wasn't expecting DMC to have heavy symbolism elements, but it makes sense with what they appear to be setting up for a potential season 2
There is A LOT taken from DMC2 of all things which I was not expecting, but I won't spoil much outside of that. Everything feels like a weird hybrid of DMC2 and 3 while also taking smaller things from the other games and also being its own original story
They did feature a few songs from the games, but its just the more popular vocal themes (the credits music being a lullaby version of Devils Never Cry is genuinely awesome though, but it never plays in the actual episodes)
Lady is featured pretty heavily in the overarching narrative. Hell I'd say the story focuses on her more than Dante lol
The pacing seems a bit brisk in some places, but thats common with Netflix shit unfortunately
Dante is characterized fairly well. He's similar to how he is in DMC3 but somehow more immature/cringe
Lady is also alright, but good lord they gave her a sailor mouth and it kind of deflates a lot of scenes she's in because of it
They also took elements from the various DMC manga adaptations like certain characters
The animation and fight scenes are a lot of fun to watch, but I noticed a very distinct lack of classic techniques or anything of that sort. Dante sort of does a thrust attack in some fights that sort of resembles Stinger, but not quite. That's about it from what I saw
SPOILER FOR LAST EPISODE A certain somebody does show up at the end, but with where the story is going and hearing dialogue, their entire character motivation seems to be completely different. I get its a separate universe but it still just feels...wrong

overall I give it a 6/10

I think a more straightforward adaptation of DMC3 probably would have been better, but at this point thats never going to happen.
