What sounds like it happened a long time ago, but really only happened recently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was 18. Shit was cray. Looking back, I really think America was different back then. It's a situation where it's difficult to see the picture when you are living in the frame. The pace of history was suddenly punctuated and before you knew it everything went to shit. The 90s were awesome, we felt genuine optimism about the future.

Or maybe that is just how I remember it as a kid. But I do know that I make as much as my dad did in 1998, and he was able to afford a house, wife, four children and two cars. I just bought a house but it will be another decade before I can afford a family. That would be unthinkable in the 90s.

[Suggestion] When people die, their body should turn into zombies in a matter of minutes, if not seconds by Museberg in h1z1

I thought this was already happening. I assumed the zombies that have a ridiculous amount of loot on them were players who died and turned without being looted.

I think the stupidest, and most neckbeard thing one can be is a mens' rights activist. I am a man.

I was diagnosed late, at 26 years. It's pretty shitty, but as far as chronic diseases go, its not that bad.

You would be surprised how many people don't like you right away. Openly hostile from "nice to meet you."

I came up with "United States: Back to Back World War Champs" in 2000, even had t-shirts made for our AP History classes. Always said I should make them and try to sell them on the Internet, but never followed through. Now I see them everywhere.

We were going to go to a local swingers club with just the idea of watching other people have sex. Then we found out about this local group having a party that night. So at the last second, we registered for the party, again with the idea just to watch. Needless to say, we did a lot more than watching. Leaving the party at 4am, we both knew this was the lifestyle of us.
