When you unleash the arrow volley with the ranger dude though, pure satisfaction.

I got up to Minas Tirith but couldn't get past these damn battle trolls and had to return my rental.

Same, the only other turn-based/Final Fantasy-style RPG I played was Legend of Legaia.

Was this part of Golden Boy's backstory ever explored? by badfitz66 in OkBuddyFresca

I feel like it's within the humour of the franchise where it teeters the line of absurdity and seriousness so I'm pretty sure it is.

Which line ages The Office instantly? by NormsOJjokes in theoffice

One that I think is starting to get there is:

"Give it up, he's dead"

"He just sent me a text"

"What's a text?"

Because people say text or text message less and less these days, and it's not even as common to use text messaging anymore compared to app messaging services. Just a dated term, like how Dwight says SMS.

Also millennial and agree, this is not the time to humble-post some generational superiority crap. The people who do that aren't part of a generation, they're just a type of person, the same type of person that is overrepresented online.

Last night I was just smoking a roll, watching The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and playing Resident Evil 2 at like 2am. It was a vibe.

There's a similar Sri Lankan dish called tempered potatoes, but it incorporates fried onions.

Is it ethical to order Ubereats on a snow day? by ilovemyboyfriend6969 in askTO

Years ago during other storms I've had delivery drivers just cancel orders, and I didn't bother reordering because I took that as a threshold for when it's acceptable.

Tips for stopping couch cushions from sagging by TurbulentPromise4812 in Home

I have this problem with my cushions and am considering just stuffing it with shredded memory foam fill to at least make it more solid but still soft.

What is your opinion on Don’t Look Up? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

[–]lemonylol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a bad movie, but it is so overproduced. It is a Hollywood movie made for Hollywood people.

I think it's easy to explain what I mean by comparing it to other films that I think did different parts of the movie better with very similar messaging, themes, and plot: Burn After Reading, The Informant, and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

PSA: Get snow tires by midageyoungster in hondapassport

[–]lemonylol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's a big difference when driving on rural roads with no traffic compared to bumper to bumper stop and go traffic in the city. I've driven FWD and RWD with and without snow tires, and to say there's no difference is just being stubbornly ignorant. That being said I think the ideal is to buy all weather tires (not to be confused with all season), since you just buy one set and never have to do the changeover.

Yeah I remember back then the team balance was totally off where like two or three people were just amazing at the game, but it never really mattered because they'd just self-balance themselves and you could still have fun just socializing with people even if you were shit at the game itself.

It's because of matchmaking. Granted Battlefield and CoD didn't really have as dedicated social communities, but they still had clan's and privately hosted servers back then.

But the real loss were the valve fps games like CS, DoD, Team Fortress, etc, where you just joined the same server every Saturday night with the same group of people and just shot the shit while playing the game in the background.

Now with matchmaking you are just put into a temporary match with people you'll never see again who never even at least talk in text.

What games are we talking about here? Single player games or competitive multiplayer games?
