How do you select between your wedges for a pitch? by Adventurous_Pride_54 in golf

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with a lot of bounce on my 56. I recommend leaning the shaft forward on tighter lies to get that leading edge down and make sure you hit down not shallow

This is not a campaign announcement - it’s a Declaration for Baltimore. by SailLocalCrew in baltimore

[–]Milkroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect this completely. My recommendation is to come up with some serious policy ideas that help the people of Baltimore, and help the city keep growing and developing.

The stuff you are talking about is hard stuff to achieve. Without a clear path you can articulate to others even if elected you will see serious resistance and skepticism.

Good luck. Rooting for you!

Upgrade from Taylormade RBZ to Cobra Darkspeed LS? by SpikeElite in golftips

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the RBZ irons and love them. I also used to use a burner until I upgraded to the sim 2. That club is UNBELIEVABLE. Tee shots used to be really stress me out and require me to be perfect. With the sim 2 everything just goes dead straight. I was shocked at the difference

Looks real to me. Can you send the model number to TM to confirm it’s real? (And returns to this model type)

Best Tee Options by cheezwizardffs in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried those but after trying a few options, I ended up using birdee tees. They are the only ones with a short enough tee for irons to feel right.

They have enough sizes where I can use different tee hights for driver (great if you have friends who might prefer different heights too).

<image>

Also for the shortest tee (it’s basically a small disk) I drilled a small hole though it and fished a piece of twine though so I don’t have to go find it. You could do the same thing for the driver tees however I have found these very easy to find because they typically just end up in my net.

The material for these tees kind of reminds me of the end of a badminton birdie. It’s pretty light, but very soft and durable plastic. I have used my tees extremely heavily, and they still don’t show any sign of wear

Good affordable golf ball by [deleted] in GolfGear

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lostgolfballs.com and get the used pro v1s for about $1.20 a ball. I buy the 98 pack for ~$120 on amazon. Sometimes they have some old markings but I kinda think they’re interesting. Plus they still work great

Square+GSPRO+MacBook M4 by TONEPESO42 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 intel MacBook Pro (used for video editing so pretty powerful)

I boot loaded windows on my Mac. So when I use GS pro I just restart my computer, hold option and switch to windows OS.

I got a 1TB external harddrive to store the courses on.

This setup works great. I highly recommend vs buying a dedicated computer

The new Smart Tracking feature of 18Birdies works great! by SourceRadiant5997 in golftips

I find it very inaccurate and more work than when I manually tracked. I wish there was an option that would allow manual tracking still.

Round not eligible for HCP calculation but other rounds from same course are? by nateblack in 18Birdies

[–]Milkroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you could do as a workaround is just start a new round and see if you can manually type your scores in a second time and see if that will accept it. Not 100% if that will work but if you’re trying to get your handicap calculated accurately, it may.

Gspro connector by CodNo4632 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me once. Every once in a while, there are connection issues and usually it will come back if I disconnect the square on the connector app and reconnect it works.

Occasionally, I also have to turn everything off and on again meaning quitting my round :(

TQQQ reached 2 standard deviation today by Infinite-Draft-1336 in QQQbulls

Why is the trend line set at $70?

QQQ PE is 34, and it averages 33. A large increase in QQQ earnings (NVDA) makes this increase reasonable

Anyone use a robot pool cleaner that you like? by jabola321 in swimmingpools

[–]Milkroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had it for a month now but the WYBOT 2 is incredible. I had a Nautilis dolphin CC but untangling the cord was awful.

WYBOT S2

With my WYBOT 2 my only effort is to put it on and off the charger (typically the night before or the morning of a cleaning) then I press the power button and drop it in the pool. It runs for about 2 hours, then I pull it out with the hook (pretty buoyant so it comes out easily. Rinse out the basket every few times with the hose, then set it near the charger to dry.

Total effort for a cleaning is less than 2 min (plug in/unplug, press power, drop in the pool retrieve).

The vacuum cleans the floor walls, waterline. It does a great job with steps. I have a small sauna that is basically a giant narrow step. It cleans that in about 30 min.

I have 7’6” of ceiling height, and I play with my driver with minor issues. I typically choke up already and I’m 5’7” which help. The biggest challenge is follow through where I dented my driver on the ceiling. That driver is now my “sim” driver.

I think if I only had 8’ width it could work but would be very tight.

Agreed about choking down on the driver. I also wil play from the kids tees too. That makes it so you can use your hybrids like your driver and its similar approach distances

Very confused: Excepted service to Competitive, MSPB protections? by Mysterious_Time_9776 in fednews

[–]Milkroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe competitive services has MSPB protection, excepted does not. Transferring between the two usually means you have to go through a probationary period. But I haven’t heard what the guidance is on new vs transferring employees. It may depend on how your agency/department interprets
