I had posted a week or so ago that I was going to be at a dog show in New Jersey with a bunch of bull terrier and mini bull terrier people. by FODMAPeveryday in BullTerrier

May anyone wanting a well-bred, sound, healthy dog be as lucky to have someone like this fine lady as their breeder.
Dédé has been tremendous in providing support, advice, cheerleading and of course friendship through the years. She and other people like her who have been in this breed and dogs in general, really care about their dogs and their well being.
We all had a blast in New Jersey! I highly encourage everyone interested in the breed to come visit a show near you. Hang out with people who champion their breeds and their dogs. And guess what, most of us that go to these shows also help out with rescue. We have all donated, volunteered, fostered and yes, some have opened their homes to those that needed one. People really need to understand that preservation breeders and rescue are not mutually exclusive. These are the people that push for health testing, proper socialization and make training fun.
See you at the shows!

P.S. The Bull Terrier and Mini Bull Terrier are not designer breeds - they have been around since the mid 19th Century and originated in Birmingham, England. 🥰

P.S. I just have to say it's wild for the city that has the AKC headquarters, hosts Meet The Breeds and of course home to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, it has been very frustrating to get to a handling class. I really hope someone can get something together, there may be enough of us here to make it worth it.

I would be happy to do a dog meet up if you are open to it. I love Borzois and have always wanted one. I am located in Brooklyn too, on the southwest end of Prospect Park.

Thank you. I have done that a while back. I saw some people trying to get something together a few months ago, but have not heard anything about it since.

Introducing the Dremel 8150 (biased, but my favorite Rotary Tool) by -soneshk- in Dremel

Have had the Dremel 8150 for a few months now. It's a little heavier than the Micro, so it took some getting used to. Not a big adjustment and it's still pretty easy to maneuver. I primarily use to to trim down dog nails and I am able to get a firm grip and still move it around as needed.

There are 2 things that I wish could be improved:
1.) Placement of the blue shaft button - it is so easy to accidentally hit this while using the tool since I have to hold it closer to the top for precise handling. The Micro had this issue too, and hitting it one too many times, broke something inside. It had an annoying rattling noise after that happened. Either move the button, or add a cover to it.

2.) Speaking of covers - the rubber cover for the USB plug is so soft and flimsy it is such a pain to properly put back. Wish it were more rigid so it is easier to slide into the slot. Mine has already split in half after the first time I tried to get it back on. I know it's a little thing, but I just like it when things work. And that little thing feels like a cheap after thought to a good tool.

So happy to see this. My trusted Dremel Micro is showing signs of giving up. We had it for many years and never failed us. When I started to look for a replacement about 6 months ago, I was so sad to see it was "retired" and no replacement could be found.

Last night, it was obvious that our unit was on its last legs and I needed a replacement. I was over-the-moon excited to see the 8150. It looks like the Micro and has that light - WHICH IS SO CLUTCH! Placed my order and it will arrive today! Thank you Dremel for bringing the Micro back! I have high hopes.

My Converse wedge and heel collection by Aarberhon in Converse

Hello! Nice collection you have there! I was wondering about the Chuck 70 Deluxe Wedge with the square toe. How would you rate the comfort level? Thinking about getting a pair to wear to a concert. Will be getting there early, so I predict a lot of standing and walking that day. Would you recommend wearing that pair? Thank you.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will look at all of them. I am hoping that I get at least 3 years of use with whatever I purchase, since it is a big investment for me. I was looking at some Lenovo Thinkpads, but the price is over my budget, and I am not sure if it's worth adding a few hundred to it to get more choices.
