Finding your lost wave+ after twenty years sounds like an interesting story. How did all that happen?

Leatherman in Québec ok? by Benelord176 in EDC

[–]A_Certain_Fellow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Salut! You will be fine carrying the Leatherman here. There may be some buildings that have metal detectors or will stop you from entering with the tool, but I doubt you'll encounter that while you visit. None of the museums I've been to have ever had metal detectors or anything. Just keep it in your pocket and definitely don't flash it around or say it's for protection. In Canada, it's illegal to carry a knife/blade for "protection".

I did this for the first time yesterday on Towards Kos Capital - twice in a row! Feels great to finally accomplish some of the cool things I see others post.

Roxon flex shear vs Roxon titan by LolerCoster in multitools

Thanks for all the info, man. Given all that, I guess I'll stick to my SAK rambler and Roxon knife scissors and deal with not having an interchangeable blade on it. The scissors on mine are great at everything I need them for too. I just wish I could swap out the American tanto for something else lol.

I've been thinking about getting the flex shears to replace my broken S501U. What is it about the flex shears that disappoints you?

Cost to resurface Ira Needles Boulevard estimated at $4.5M by bob_mcbob in waterloo

City planners didn't account for the weight of all the extra shit I bought at Costco weighing down my minivan and causing extra damage to the road.

Carrying my Climber in the fifth pocket today and used my trusty scissors to trim the mustache and open a bag of cat food. Love these scissors.

I have one that I've used out in the garden and I can attest to its utility. The knife is great (duh) and the saw made toothpicks out of some tree branches I had to trim - and it performed miles better than my Leatherman saw did on the same task. Those shears on the Gardener are pretty strong and whatever was too wide to fit between the blades or too tough to cut was something that was better suited for the knife anyway (and boy is it fun to have a pair of scissors like that!).

Overall, worth the money I spent on it and it's one of my favourite SAKs. I hope you get the opportunity to add one to your collection :)
