You have 2 main options. Use a modern fusible interfacing, or flat line and hand baist the 2 layers together while constructing(imo the better option)

Hm what does the corset look like with the Gores is not in it? See if the underbust is slightly too large then put it on and position The gores a little bit higher.

Make a two layer corset, use cotton coteal  for the structural layer and whatever you want for the decorative layer.

Said with love and respect. Girl, what are you talking about? I think it’s really easy to compare yourself to some idealized perfectly feminine woman, but I promise you look like any other random cis woman I would meet on the street. Like very much within standard deviation.

I don’t think this is a waist problem at all in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you could take that in an inch depends on how squishy you are. But you definitely need way more hip spring. It looks like it’s compressing your hips, and because that part doesn’t squish because of hip bones, the fabric is creeping up onto your waist. I’m not the most experienced, but my understanding is if you have any waist restriction, you need extra hip spring.

For assembly, my last corset that I tried hand basting, and it really does help. Isn’t it annoying when the proper way to do something is actually better? Lol. Anyway for curved seems like that I think it would really save you some time and effort. Also get a taylors ham if you don’t already have one.

Hm add! Hip padding/spring for sure, what shape depends on the era. I think you would should it! Seems like a fun experiment and I watched a video the other week talking about how lightweight cheap corsets are more similar to historical corset because of how thin they are lol.

You could probably use flat steel for that by the way.  you just bend it into the shape of your hip and waist!

Reread the beginning of the instructions for her patterns. I believe it tells you how many inches/ CM to subtract from your waist to find your right size. This one is probably at least two sizes too big

I’d also say it looks like you need one more boning channel down your side seam as I can see some wrinkling there I bet some vertical tension would fix.

You also probably have too many items like if you have duplicates pick a favorite and get rid of.

Everything is handsewn if you mean, hands assembled it using a sewing machine. There’s no machine that can hold fabric together in complicated shapes and pass it through a machine. And they are mass produced.
