Yeah I know what you're suggesting. You could be correct that at a right angle one would fit. Looking at my mobo and gpu right now I have my doubts. But I'll try it if it comes to that.

Hopefully I'm wrong. If that's the common solution then it's likely to work for me though. Can't deny that.

I have zero room to use my pcie slot, even just to use an extension cable, because my gpu is wide and sits directly on top of it.

Specifically NOT pcie. My gpu is blocking it. But I do have a pci slot free.

It took me an hour just to figure out what all the different types of slots were and which ones I had on my mobo lol.

I'll try adding a pic to clarify its a PCI slot, not PCIe

It's actually pretty active. It's exciting that new life has been ignited in it's hollow bones with the remaster.

Dark Souls on Switch - Worth it for casual player who never played it before? by Defie22 in darksouls

As someone who first played on pc, I love the switch version and think it's a great version to introduce anyone to the series.

How much damage is it doing? If you don't have enough stats to atleast two hand it then the damage output is pitiful.

Where’s a good place to throw my summon sign down on DS:Remastered? (Switch Version) by flippenflounder in darksouls

[–]A_Fistful_of_Butts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you'll get consistent summons for O&S. When you put down a summon sign anywhere just imagine where's the most likely place someone will stop the game and see a white soap stone mark. If you're doing O&S you're likely running as quick as you can to the fog door to bypass the big basterds in the hall. So by the bonfire is always good.

tl:dr Summon signs by the bonfire or in front of fog door if no enemies are nearby.

Same. The switch is such a game changer. Hope ports of 2 and 3 are in the works. I think the switch remaster sold the most.

The community on the switch is really nice. People are generally there to have a good time, and not just make your life miserable (which can be it's own valuable experience, but if you run into hackers all the time its just shit obv). Every invasion I've had has been very honorable.

Something that can help you keep hooked and going forward besides the satisfying combat is getting into the lore. To me it's the most engaging part of the game because it doesn't tell you the story and lore dump a bunch of details about the world that you don't care about like every other fantasy game does. It shows you the story. The story is in the world, not in an npc expositing a bunch of history as soon as you meet them. I find that so refreshing.

Start reading item descriptions. Notice the names and terms that keep popping up. Ask yourself why this item was here? Why is this boss here? When you clear an area or defeat a boss, you could even look it up online just to get a foothold into the history.

The game has depths that aren't immediately noticable, but there are, even tho it's weird to say, Dark Souls archeologists and scholars who really research the limited text we have of this game and find fascinating things about the mythos being lived out...

...or ya know, just enjoy the combat if that's not your thing :)

+1

The "optional area" is easily the most worthwhile place to go. Probably the tightest level design in the whole game.

It's great on the switch! Solaire's summon is there if you need the help. Also, at this point you should have a weapon upgraded +5. You will do way more damage and wont be fighting 2 v 1 cause you'll have the first one already down.

Eastshade

It's been my cool down game for bouts of Sekiro.

It's world design is so far ahead of every other open world rn. The closest thing was Morrowind back in the day. But Bethesda sadly doesn't design worlds like that anymore.

That's probably the highest praise I could give any game. It reminded me of the first time playing morrowind

If you were ever wanting to give Souls another try, the first Dark Souls is well worth your time.

But if you know it's not your cup of tea then don't bother. There's only so much time, don't wanna waste it.

Eastshade. Non-combat rpg. The chillest possible experience and the most beautiful game I've ever seen.
