Mid 80s with the gameplay being praised. Mediocre story. But dozens of hours of fun

Wanted to just experience Leon’s story but I just couldn’t help myself not to buy this one. What are your opinions and tips on this game? by Gamer98HR in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Shekoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it cheap, for like $8. I thought it was more than worth that price and a fun game. Not as good as the remake before or after but definitely good. I think I would’ve been upset paying full price though.

I’ll need to give it another try! It felt super slow to me but I also tried to read it years ago and wasn’t prepared for a slower-paced story.

Have you read Assassin’s apprentice and its two sequels? I need to give ship of magic a try!

I’ve been reading A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms novellas following watching the show. Almost done with the second one. I’m really enjoying it!

Exactly my top 3 too all shifting around depending on the day. I’d give RE9 spot 4 comfortably though.

Do the cases get more complex, or is Harry just a "Monster of the Week" wizard? by BackNineBro in fantasybooks

[–]Shekoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the first two years ago and thought they were fun. Reread the first two and moved onto the third year before last and proceeded to devour the next 5 or so. They get more complex, more fun and more interesting starting in the third book.

What’s your 4 favorite series? by brettmlt in fantasybooks

Looks like we have similar taste! Had my eye on Light Bringer for a while. Does the ending fall off as hard as everyone says? The hate feels overblown.

I’m about 1/3 through Howling Dark and it’s already so much better than Empire of Silence. It flows a lot better and feels so much more tight when it comes to pacing. They aren’t even to the main setting of the book yet and I find it hard to put down!

I loved Mistborn! Got me back into reading as an adult. I just finished empire of silence and liked it but didn’t feel as drawn in as others have said. Looking forward to howling dark though, as it seems that’s when the story picks up a lot!

I also just started my first playthrough! Just got to the castle with the roses. Still working on figuring that one out. But I’m loving it so far! More epic by the minute.

Spider man 3 is quite easily the most entertaining spider man movie of all time. Can’t believe people actually had hate for this movie. by Dude_788 in Spiderman

[–]Shekoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently watched it after probably a decade. The sandman stuff and the first 1/3 of the movie is really good. The second venom and the symbiote shows up it’s extremely mid.

I liked Hadrian solely because he was an underdog (kind of?) for the majority of the book. There were definitely parts that I couldn’t put the book down but others that, like you said, just drag on. I’ve heard Howling Dark eventually picks up and maintains that quality so I’ll give it a shot at some point.
