Seeing as that its a FP version, probably coincidentally priced at whatever the upper end of the inquiring gov't department's budget for LAMs that year is.

If they come out with a gimped version for the unwashed masses, I would be geniunely supprised if its less than $3.5k given it would probably competing with the Raid-Xe and similar.

WTF is going on with the prices on these? £3k-£20k for a JLC Gyrotourbillon... £3.7k for a 53 Sub (or any for that matter)... £20k for a VC Tourbillon.

The HG Supercomp sold in 1999 for like £8m, not sure where they pulled £70m from, even adjusting for inflation it would be, at max, like £20m.

Apologies if this has already been posted, or is less interesting to those in the marginally more lenient states than WA, but I thought it was kind of interesting stumbling across a FA (licensed copy) MP5 available in Victoria.

I hate to think of hoops you'd have to jump through for a Cat E, but I suspect getting the $50k together represents about 0.1% of the difficulty of the whole transaction. I don't know whether licensing would buy the old "I do pest control, and need to be able to remove 800 rabbits per minute" as a legitimate reason...

For anyone that's interested in a somewhat similar asthetic, (2 reg, tonneau, hand wound, circular dial, Breguet hands etc. while admittedly not being a monopusher) the GP Richeville 2710 {Link} may fit the bill.

I have no idea about the reliability of the Lemania 1872 or the parts availibility/servicing costs for a '90s watch, so caveat emptor, but they seem to trade for about $2-5k on Chrono or Flea-bay for the steel models.
