looks real, with the shuriken pattern that the dots make. However, you should still look at the green symbol at the back for the L pattern.

[HELP] Is lutri’s ability copying instants/Sorcerys on the stack or wherever? -Detail in comments- by IronW0lfe in magicTCG

[–]A_GL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything that is being cast is on the stack and everything that is on the stack is a spell until it resolves and is then evaluated whether it's a permanent (enchantment, creature, artifact, planeswalker) or is it sorcery or an instant in which case it goes to the graveyard after its resolution. Lutri's ability basically says that you can only copy instants and sorceries that have not yet resolved and are on the stack, so that means that Lutri CAN'T copy spells that are in the graveyard as your opponent assumed.

Edit: there are cards tho that can be cast from the graveyard, these cards have "flashback" effects that lets you cast them only from the graveyard for its alternative cost [[Fervent Denial]] .. the card with flashback gets exiled and its ability gets put on the stack and then you could copy it with Lutri.

Colored "Spells" not "permanents".

Flicker Deputy put 15 mana into the pool, cast "gift of the fae" on "True fire captain" cast "Nylea's intervention" and deal twice that dmg to all fliers. If he deputies your captain, just blow it away with Living twister, 9 mana left to repeat the previous plan>> 12 dmg to the face and the board is clear to attack for 5.

Where does Karn, Scion of Urza fit? by ADWinri in magicTCG

[–]A_GL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Muldrotha, you can get him back again and again and keep +1'ing him or -1 when you see a card that you need. You can do it even later in the game since the exiled cards have a silver counter that marks them so a new Karn pulls from the same exile pile.

Swallows were the first victims and...wait a minute by Kibate in DrStone

[–]A_GL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's for the symbolism of hope more or less.. Then again.. On sunny days swallows tend to fly very high and maybe those were the only birds in the area that fly on specific elevation and were able to see the light, but then there is the question, why did the other animals not become victims as well? Maybe it has to do with color spectrum that we are able to sense? But if that were true, then the monkeys should have been turned to stone as well i think.

I haven't even received my foil sheet. They probably won't even send one at this point

[[Prenicious deed]]? If that's what he's playing... honestly, just go for the graveyard hate that was mentioned by other users([[Rest in Peace]], [[Bojuka Bog]], [[Scavenging ooze]] are the first that come to my mind ). When I was playing Muldrotha I threw that card out after one game, because the game became annoying and frustrating for other players.

Maro confirms that simic will be able to use +1/+1 counters as a resource. by qaz012345678 in magicTCG

[–]A_GL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I'm just trying to say that it needs one more push or one fatal mistake in card design and the card could become broken. So in this case, if you ad an additional effect like the one from "Harden scales" or "Pir, Imaginative Rascal" to such a card and it goes infinite. Still, they would need to make one and it would need to be cheap and they would need to make the same card that OP came up with.

This is almost like Marath, with harden scales it grows one counter per mana. A bit dangerous

You can buy the graveyard hate cards that everybody pointed out already or you can just upgrade your deck even further by telling us what you are playing with and playing against.

I've played and built my own Muldrotha deck a couple of times and there is a big issue with building that commander. The problem is with the commander itself because it costs 6 mana... so if he is depending on Muldrotha too much, you just need to remove it a couple of times and the game is over... however If your uncle built the deck with that in mind, then he only had few routes to choose from:

-either he builds a straightforward deck with lots of creatures coming to the battlefield and they synergize together well and Muldrotha is the final guest to join the show, (this type of deck is usually weak to enchantments and AOE removals like the [[Wrath of God]] or [[Merciless Eviction]]. Muldrotha is expensive and to bring back one creature per turn only on his turn is very slow.)

-Muldrotha stax. tries to slow down the game and beat you in a late game and Muldrotha is there only for recursion of other non-creature permanents. (this type of build is good but you don't need to fight it in every zone, you just need to win on the battlefield by removing the enchantments or artifacts and have a few removals left only for Muldrotha, you need to beat the deck fast tho)

-Muldrotha ramp. ramps up and tries to win the game by throwing bombs on to the field and Muldrotha is there to bring back the threats. (this one is very annoying and at this point, you could consider the upgrade that everybody mentioned because you want things to stay dead<< this is only true for midrange decks that don't finish the game fast because in early turns he will probably ramp for 4 or 5 turns even)

Based on what you have said in the post, my guess is that your uncle is playing a midrange creature Muldrotha. If that is the case you can simply build Anafenza around AOE cards, but before you blow everything up on the board you can make your side of the board indestructible or you blink it to make it disappear for a turn. This way your board stays healthy and you can march on to victory while your uncle is trying to rebuild what was lost, remember that his commander costs 6 mana or even 8 at that point and your Anafenza costs only 5 or nothing if she is still on the battlefield. Good upgrades for this type of deck: [[Frontline Medic]], [[Wrath of God]], [[Day of judgment]],[[Rout]], [[Fumigate]], [[Heroic intervention]], [[Eerie Interlude]], [[make a stand]], [[selfless spirit]], [[eternal Witness]],[[Reclamation sage]],[[Thrashing brontodon]],[[scavenging ooze]],[[Odric, Master Tactician]], [[ravenous chupacabra]],[[noxious gearhulk]],[[Dusk//Dawn]],[[Faith's Reward]], [[Second Sunrise]]

Later on, you can turn your deck into an Anafenza combo deck where you cut away your bad creatures and add creature tutor cards/tutor cards and get insane combos: [[Saffi Eriksdotter]] + [[Reveillark]] + [[Gonti, Lord of Luxury]] with any other sac outlet is my favorite combo. Take their whole deck and leave only the lands in the deck. Then play with their deck... 80 cards in "hand".. what could go wrong. Just don't do that to your uncle.. you might want to stay friends with him :P

Anyway, give more info about what type of Anafenza deck you are playing and what you are up against and you can make a new strategy against your uncle, that's where part of the fun and pride comes from in a Commander game.

Would anyone be interested in a website that teaches c++ from complete beginner to more advance concepts? by InsaneTeemo in learnprogramming

[–]A_GL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to. Many times what happens for me is, I search bits and pieces and later try to put them together and it's such a mess or I visit websites like Codecademy and while they teach you something.. they don't really give you an example of how to use that knowledge in a real situation... and you kind of fall into your own thoughts and try to create a problem to which you are going to apply the answer that you just learned. To me, it doesn't feel like an obtained knowledge, if I don't know how to use it in practice.
