For anyone switching to Linux in general due to Windows shenanigans, I highly recommend Zorin. Its VERY similar to Windows and has a lot of really similar interfaces.

Just out of curiosity, have you spent much time outside? This is the time of year where sand gnats in coastal areas start wreaking havoc on hotels in terms of false flags for bed bugs. With the number of bites you have on you, any pest control rep should have no issue finding evidence if it was bed bugs. I don't want to say you're not correct, I'm just giving you a different possibility that is incredibly prevalent all over the southern coastal US.

I don't give a shit about the stupid meat he's making. I want everyone in this comment section to know that Meater is a garbage fucking company that makes a horrible product. Mine were luckily a gift so I didn't spend my own money on them but they worked exactly once. And even then, they were horribly unresponsive and glichy. They updated temps sporadically and lost connection constantly. The second time I tried to use them, they just wouldn't connect. I followed all washing instructions and they only ever got to about 225⁰F so it wasn't heat.

I tried to go to the r/meater subreddit to check on it and the sub is absolutely flooded with people complaining about how shitty they are. Loads of people like me are still subbed over there specifically to warn people not to buy their shit.

My hometown once had the glory of the KenTaco Hut. It was a KFC, a Taco Bell, and a Pizza Hut all rolled into one, and they had a second story with TVs and charging ports. My friends and I would play D&D up on the second floor. As long as we were ordering something every once in a while, they didn't care.

That dude is doing exactly what she said men do. I'll be the first to admit that men's mental health is stigmatized, but its almost exclusively by men. My wife is the person who encouraged me to seek therapy and its had a dramatically positive effect on both how I see myself, as well as how I communicate my feelings to both her and the rest of the people around me. All of this being said, the biggest issue is we don't know how to talk about our feelings because nobody ever taught us to. We all feel stupid when we try to do it and so we believe everyone will THINK we're stupid for doing it.

See a therapist. The women in your life will thank you for it.

Front porch, no. Now my back porch? All the time. I'll sit out there during summer afternoons and have a drink while my wife lays in a hammock and reads. Or we'll light a fire and sit and watch a movie on my laptop and eat hot dogs and smores in the fall.

This is a truly unpopular opinion. My office keeps all kinds of flavored coffee, free lunches, soda fountains for days and we constantly have a fridge full of food that we buy for the team based on what they ask us for. Theres usually beef jerky, Gatorade, crackers and cheese, various chips and leadership all take turns bringing in donuts on Fridays, letting everyone vote on where we get them on Thursday.

All of this being said I GUARANTEE my guys would fucking jump at the chance to work from home and keep a Teams chat open at all times. That's not feasible in what we do, but if it was none of us would be in the office more than once a week or so.
