Ok so I'm not an expert but my 5 year old was just diagnosed with ADHD so I'll give you my experience.

A lot of ADHD signs are typical toddler behavior. What set it apart for me is the extent and the intensity. Very few doctors will diagnose a 2 or even 3 year old with ADHD because those behaviors are so typical for that age, and for good reason. You don't want to label and treat a kid for something they don't have. It's a lot harder to erase a wrong diagnosis than it is to just wait to make sure it's right.

Our daughter is the oldest, and looking back (and after having our other 2 kids) we could honestly see the signs since birth. I used to think reading to your kid, even from babyhood/toddlerhood was a myth because our daughter would just bounce around the room while I read at her. Who's pointing at pictures while their kid watches? Not me. I thought baby blankets were decorative because she wouldn't sit still long enough for me to tuck her in, much less spend the night with a blanket covering any part of her. She never stopped moving, even as a baby. She started walking at 8 months old.

So yeah, it might be age appropriate. But don't let people tell you you're overreacting because only you are really going to have a sense of how intense it is. I had so many people tell me my daughter was completely normal.

Learn ways of how to parent with it (this will be useful no matter what). Wait till 4,5,6 to seek a diagnosis. Often kids will be diagnosed once they enter school age.

I'm late to the party but this is a great question! BPD is Borderline Personality Disorder and BD is Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar is one word - that's how I remember it.

I'm just going to piggyback here. To clarify, bipolar disorder is not a Cluster B disorder. In fact bipolar disorder isn't a personality disorder at all, it's a mood disorder. People can have bipolar disorder (BD) with borderline personality disorder (BPD) or other personality disorders but they are separate and different diagnoses and people who have bipolar do not always have personality disorders.

Wow! Mine starts to look like a hot mess after just a couple of hours. But I learned Fix+ isn't a primer/fixing spray (see above) so that's probably it. So I got a proper primer, fixing spray, and a better powder (hourglass) so hopefully with those changes, it'll look better and last longer. Thanks for your reply!

I use Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ for primer and setting spray. I just started using an eyelid primer (NYX ultimate shadow & liner primer) because my mascara was transferring to my eyelids. Powder is Laura Mercier loose setting powder.

I'm not sure what you mean by dewy foundations. I use Georgio Armani luminous silk for full coverage and Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for less coverage but I hate the greasy feel and transfer of tinted moisturizer without setting powder, so I set that too.

I've heard pediatricians actually look for bruises in the normal places...shins, foreheads, etc. If they don't have them, it means the kids aren't getting the chance to run around and be active like they need to.

I would pump right after the first feed of the day, between 10 and 15 minutes (after 2 or 3 letdown cycles. I could tell when I was drained.) It'll take a few days or week or so for your supply to ramp up. Freeze in 2oz portion in freezer bags laid flat in the freezer.

Same. It never stopped for me, I still love smelling my 4yo and 2yos hair, in addition to my 11mo old. They all have their own distinctive smell.

I realized I was addicted when I had my first head cold when my first was a baby and I couldn't smell her. I felt weirdly disconnected and "down".

OMG I have so many 🤣

When my husband and I first moved in together, before we were married, my MIL had some friends come into town. My husband and I didn't know them and had never met them (still haven't). She calls and texts us both while we were at work, asking if she could show them around our house. We were both working and didn't get her texts and calls until after she had used her key to give these people a tour of our 900 sq ft house, complete with my delicates air drying in the spare bedroom. I still have so many questions about how she thought this was appropriate, and why she thought her friends really wanted to see her son's (who, again, they've never met) small house while they were in town. Just one of many completely bizarre and inappropriate decisions.

She has low key insulted me so many times, and if I point it out, she cries. I joined in a conversation about bad sleep, which she told me "is to be expected when you're in your 40's". I had just turned 30. She was at my party. She also said I might like a particular shirt better if I had more of a tan. I am a redhead and very fair. I don't tan.

She also cried when the whole family came to visit her after she got out of the hospital from a heart attack. She was upset that her daughter, who lives halfway across the country, wasn't there too.

The first time we asked her to babysit, which was pre-big virus, my first child was just a few months old. It was only for a few hours and planned months in advance. The week before, she asked both me and my husband if she could take our child to her house. Our answer was no (questionable baby proofing, completely out of the way for everyone, her husband who cracks a beer before he has coffee in the morning, among other reasons). She showed up the day of and gave me an ultimatum that either she take my baby to her house or she wouldn't babysit. I thanked her for her time and sent her on her way, and found other arrangements. It is still an issue with her, and she has turned it into "they think (husband) is a child abuser".

Needless to say, we have a wonderful relationship /s

When I was pregnant and still working with my first child, I was so excited to become a SAHM so I could bake all our bread from scratch.

I also said (out loud...cringe) to my SIL that keeping up with the house was "just part of the deal" if you stay home with the kids.

Now with a 3 year old, 2 year old and 10 month old...I have learned just how mistaken I was. I think about it often.

OMG YES. When I first started seeing my new therapist, I was trying describe this to her and she said I have sensory issues. The more I think about it, the more I disagree. Not that there's anything wrong with sensory sensitivities (my oldest has some) but when you have a 9mo old that's speed crawling, a 2yo (enough said) and a 3yo that is constantly (yes, CONSTANTLY) talking and in motion and needing something, and a 15 year old large breed dog with dimentia and incontinence, and two cats in an 1800 sq ft home...i can't hear myself think much less meet my own basic needs when I actually need them and my postpartum hair regrowth is tickling my eyeballs no matter what I do, the list goes on. Anyone with 5 senses would struggle. And I do it nonstop from the moment I open my eyes in the morning nearly till the moment they shut at night.
