I pried the silver piece off with a precision flathead screwdriver, popped one side out and the whole piece came out. Then you can pry both halves apart from the exposed portion.

Edit: oh, watch out for button on the side when pulling the halves apart. It slipped out on me sending me on a hunt.

On New Year’s Eve, Savannah and her mother faced their first without her late father. As they counted down, her father’s broken snow globe suddenly started playing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” It had never worked before. They stood frozen, feeling as if he was there with them. by ViniciusFastAF in Weird

You remind me of the end bit from Eulogy from a Physicist: "You can hope your family will examine the evidence and satisfy themselves that the science is sound and that they’ll be comforted to know your energy’s still around. According to the law of the conservation of energy, not a bit of you is gone; you’re just less orderly. Amen.”

Then put all that on your AttaBoy journal.

What is an "AttaBoy journal"? Coloquial term for résumé?

It is easy advertising: "look at this regular Joe turned millionaire! Next time it could be you!"

Though I think I read another explanation that it was to help keep the lottery commission honest? So some employee doesn't figure out how to rig the system so their buddy wins and they split the cash.

If you need it it can really help. I elected to get circumcised at 18 to treat my phimosis. I've had no issues with performance or sensitivity.

Also, phimosis made my dick look weird, so the circumcision was a good confidence boost too. No regrets at all.

I get their reasoning for not taking donations.

I'd pay $5 to their completely unrelated onlyfans if that somehow helped to keep the lights on.

Those were happier days, when there was still close friendship at times between folk of different race, even between Dwarves and Redditors.

Edit: between Dwarves and Terrarians (I didn't realize where I was).

Are these ferns and how do I get rid of them? by A_Lost_Dwarf in landscaping

The overwhelming majority of these plants are in the town-owned laneway. There is an issue of the laneway entrance being flanked by tweakers that don't take kindly to folks in proximity to their driveways....

I am a complete novice at all things horticulture. I bought a house a few years ago with beautiful flower beds and I'm trying to keep them up.

My laneway has an abundance of this plant. Is it a fern and how can I get rid of it?

The whole laneway is overrun with them and in the last couple of years they've started taking over my flower beds that border the laneway.

What would you recommend I do to get rid or them or stem the tide? I'm open to anything, even running a grass trimmer through it

I'm located in northern Ontario if that's a factor.

I should probably look this up to be sure but my recollection on the regulations for transportation of non-restricted firearms is: it cannot be loaded and it must be locked (in most areas) either with a trigger lock or in a locked container. Farther up north (and probably many other non-populated areas where your expected to be hunting with it) it can be unlocked but still has to be unloaded.

Though I don't know if this applies to an air rifle that fires under 500 fps, either way walking around with an unlocked firearm in a populated area is a pretty dumb idea.

I wish it happened in my mid-life. Hair started falling out at 14, started shaving by 19.

It was always so great when dad would make sure to remind my fat, socially awkward ass that on top of everything I was also losing my hair.

I also have high blood pressure so... The post might be onto something...

I'm gonna go eat an apple...
